December 2019 - Josh Biggins, better known as JBando, is a talented artist, who also produces cool and atmospheric music that falls under the DreamHop Umbrella, also going by his production alias JBeats recently joined forces with fellow artist Rod Reaper in order to release a fantastic new release, Excuse/dripping. This project is really excellent and it is a perfect example of the synergy and chemistry between these talented two artists JBando and Rod turned this release into a catchy, memorable outing and an impressive way to end the year in style! The sound will hit you with some timeless production aesthetics, as well as with an emotionally driven performance, which sets the bar higher in terms of passion and energy. There are so many amazing textures and some great production choices on this release, and everything seems to fall into place so seamlessly, giving this music a personal twist. I think that it is always very refreshing to hear brand new music form recording artists who do not go by the usual cliches in the industry. In fact, JBando has shown a lot of versatility, with a wide-ranging discography, setting the bar higher with every release. This new collaboration with Rod Reaper is also another example of how he can seamlessly create a great situation, where good vibes can flow naturally and with ease. If you are a fan of artists as diverse as Mac Miller, Flying Lotus, J Cole, Boards of Canada, as well as J Dilla, you should definitely give this one a go, because it might be right up your alley, in terms of excellent sounds and creative vision. JBando is undoubtedly on a great creative path for 2020, and it will be interesting to hear what the artist is going to stay busy with during the new year. If this song is any indication, we are surely going to be in for a fantastic year of treats and great tracks!
