Episode 1: Inua Ellams - Shifting Paths

I'm not a very good producer so that's why I just try to make fun in the studio. It's not going to bring me any awards but it does result in cool stuff from time to time. 

For this track I wanted to make something hardcore!
But no 2019 style..... Oldschool....early rave, that's what I wanted!

I told myself I could only use original gabber samples. So all the bassdrums, percussion and synths are vintage hardcore sounds. 909 claps, infamous sounds and Neophyte Bassdrums. 

I really wanted to go back to basics. So I almost didn't use any effects and present day studio magic. I wanted to make this track just like it was created in a hardcore studio back in 1997. It was hard to keep things simple but I really wanted to stay true to the concept. 

For the release I wanted a typical 90's cover! I designed it myself including the Pat B smiley who turned into a gabber cyborg or something like that lol.

Peter Bark's newest single takes us under the "Umbrella Pine", where the shade is plentiful and the coast is near. Taking inspiration from a secluded retreat, we think of this song as a longing for the beach. To be beneath a setting sun where shadows lengthen and escape takes hold.
