Next to you is a love song but I originally wrote it when I was going through issues with my dad I decided to push pass those issues and use that as motivation to write how I felt. I met this guy and he showed me I don't need that man I call "dad" in my life. I turned the song into a love song for my guy. So if you are in love with someone and you feel they are worth fighting for, get next to them lol.
