The protagonist of this extended longplayer is the remarkable Falke. He is the unseen hermit of the clan and arrested the labels attention due the things he does best: sitting at home collecting cheap ancient technology and creating his own artistic universe, influenced by his distinct sense for the simplistic beauty in everyday life. After two records and several compilation contributions, we collected ten tracks to introduce his own extensive world properly. The music celebrates a timeless past that stares unbelieving into an expired future. 
Post-socialistic aesthetic detects 90s’ electronica to merge into a careless version of house.

Cosime - Fyr (Maarten Mittendorff Auro Mix)

Kıran is the debut release of Rotterdam based DJ and producer Ruben Üvez aka Konduku. Coming from Turkish descent, Konduku’s sound is both deep and trippy. Though in a different way you might expect from a Nous’klaer release - the contagious grooves of Konduku are reached through a polyrhythmic approach. The tracks have a serious elegance, but the fun that went in making them is undeniable.
When I proposed a tracklist for the album, I had no idea Altın and Mavi Saat quite literally meant start and finish (Golden and Blue Hour). The two tracks form the framework of the trip, easing in and out of it with a 4x4 groove. The first one the energising and the latter the cooling down.
In between the opening and closing act Kıran is less straightforward. The polyrhythmic hybrid of Eastern Europe Minimal and UK Bass is a thread throughout. Güneş and Yeşil Ağaç are two of those twisted rhythm tracks. His knack for composing contrasting patterns is something he got from his father, who was a professional Jazz musician from Ankara.
Almost halfway Kızılırmak (Red River) takes the energy level up a notch, claps over claps building up to an intense but unexpected climax crafted by a snappy snaredrum. Kızı fits right in a trippy minimal set, whereas Yağmur probably leans most towards the bass driven UK sound Konduku loves.
The light drums and floating pads on Pembe Alan serve as the cooling down before the Blue Hour kicks in. The name Pembe Alan (Pink Area), and the album in it’s entirety, is a tribute to the area called Cappadocia where Ruben’s family originally comes from.
I hope you’ll enjoy this diverse album as much as we all do. We’ll be releasing more from this young talent in the near future.

Molly continues to cement RDV’s reputation as a refreshing outlet for contemporary house with the expertly-curated Recit De Voyage Volume 2, a generous compilation that collects a number of established and upcoming producers to deliver vital, sincere and wholly individual music.

Leading the charge is Finale Sessions founder Michael Zucker, who follows his appearance on RDV's first release (as one half of the duo Prophets of a New Generation) with ‘City Streets’; having previously appeared on recordd with the likes of Terrence Dixon, Boo Williams and Norm Talley, he delivers his own nocturnal vision, a gentle and smooth soundtrack for warm Midwestern nights. Molly’s own contribution ‘Poble New’ follows, demonstrating her well-established mastery of tight grooves, atmosphere and subtle jack.

Douala, an artist associated with cult label Blorp, brings us ‘Orbiting’, a powerful slice of liquid funk. 
Modern House Quintet, presents ‘Plaka’, his first release away from his MHQ imprint, and arguably the record’s outright deepest moment. 
The founder of Popcorn Records, Siler ups the tempo for ‘French Manicure’, a playful, fizzy house bubbler.
Discovered at New York’s Elsewhere club during only his second-ever gig, John Silas represents the Eastern seaboard on irresistibly smooth cut ‘One Time’. 
Silas’s nocturnal groove leads in nicely to the more experimental, dense forest of sound forged by Kristian Amou & The Modern Quintet Ensemble on Bokobimbo. 

Finally, Orion hits with the MPC front-and-center for the undeniable groove of ‘Just Have You’, which rolls sensually towards a soulful vocal sample, culled from the dustiest of wax.

ORION - Just Have You

The afternoon sun can be brutal in the summer. With your motionless body parked at the beach, it pounds and flattens you with ferocity and determination of an Italian grandma making veal Milanese. Sipping piña coladas brings no respite: the sun is too strong and you are too overheated and dehydrated. You are in a daze; it hurts to open your eyes and it hurts to keep them closed. The email notification sound from your phone slices your daze like a knife. What now?! "A new release", it says. "Why not?" you struggle to think. "Modern House Quintet", it says. "Why not?" Preview "Sunset", it says. "Why not?!" A lowering of the needle, a sip of warm piña colada with its own desperately melting ice and … "Sweet Jesus, I feel a breeze!" you jump. The sun now seems to be pouring itself down the distant horizon, releasing your body from its crosshair. You feel weightless; your body is still sluggish from the heat and piña coladas, but your spirit now moves with all the grace of a ballet dancer. 
It dances a happy dance, for "Sunset" is happy music. The rhythm is happy; the pads are happy and soothing; the track moves like a breeze and even the acid groove, that trademark tool of all things melancholic and trippy, is deftly controlled to bubble pleasantly in the background as the track takes flight.
