Bait is set to release the debut EP, ‘Hepp’, from Leipzig producer Old Man Crane with four subterranean bass experimentations.
Marking the 16th release on the label since its inception in 2023, the connection between Old Man Crance and the label started via a DM with her demos and blossomed into a collaborative partnership including a spontaneous back-to-back with Beatrice M. at Bassmaessage last year. The ‘Hepp’ EP follows shortly on from Old Man Crane’s first appearance on Bait via the One Hundred and Fifty Steps compilation series and begins an exciting chapter for the emerging artist.

Cleveland takes us on a captivating voyage this week for the latest addition to our mix series. With bold, dynamic selections and a free-spirited approach, we're offered something that feels very original. Cleveland explains; "this mix represents the music I like: unconventional left-field weirdo techno non-techno. Some kind of trippy rollercoaster in an awkward dream. It includes recent findings on Bandcamp; music from friends and labels I love."

Cleveland's productions offer much of the same creative approach with experimentation and leftfield sounds used in harmony with infectious loops and samples designed for the club. It's a sound that has seen releases on labels such as Hivern Discs, ESP Institute and most recently with Kalahari Oyster Cult and his Gamma EP which is out now!

These two can’t live without a decent diversity and solid nightlife culture around them. “Being in Rotterdam makes us a bit rough around the edges, which can be found in our selection. Being the bookers of Bar Rotterdam made us expand our taste in music. We have so many favourite artists!”

As of today, The main focus of the duo is at Bar Records. The record label that came out of the Rotterdam club already is set to release nr. 07 in their catalog. “In this mix series, we are playing 2 new tracks of the upcoming release which will be out around spring. It’s nice that we can release music from artists we love so much, but the thing we are looking forward to the most is to start up our Bar events again.” The crew is planning to collaborate with concepts like Isburning and Jetti & Post are taking the next steps in focussing on their DJ career. Here we are with another episode of our international mix series. This one is coming straight from the city of Bristol, by Paul Wise aka @placid_88. Paul is a veteran of the scene, collecting records from the late 80's and kicking asses on the dancefloor from the beginning of the nineties, becoming legendary for his sets of 303-drenched acid and his reputation as 'The DJ's DJ'. Nowadays, with his new project, the "We're going deep" label, he's releasing "new music for the dance floor, your front room or even just your headphones". 
He has cooked a straight quality mix of deepness, merging spacey techno and uplifting basslines, with his recognizable acidic touch, and filled in with fresh tunes and unreleased material as well.
