Kano Damaino is a R&B and hip-hop musician recording in the Memphis, TN area and represented by the CMTMG Ent. LLC independent music label. Growing in scope and depth with each new release, music by Kano Damaino builds crowds, interest and emotion for recordings, performances and playlist spots which never fail to excite audiences. Damaino himself has called his music “soulful, heartfelt, and real4real.”


Kano Damaino's repertoire includes such drops as “Bounce Back,” released January 2021. “Bounce Back” by Kano Damaino continues to garner widespread critical and fan acclaim. Kano Damaino's tone, style and thematic message on “Bounce Back” have made it a resounding success with a variety of audiences.

Talking about the overall themes of his songs, Kano Damaino writes, “self evolution, mental therapy, growth and development, and healing.”


Taking into account the manner in which Kano Damaino came into music, it's easy to see how the songs have taken their present sound and form.


“I started recording music back in 2004 in Greenville, MS,” writes Kano Damaino, who solidified his fealty to the state by making its license plate the cover art for the “Last1st” EP (though ultimately the artwork needed to be changed). “I have only recorded songs throughout the Mississippi Delta,” he says of his home state.


Kano Damaino has been described as an artist who “expresses his hardships and growing pains in a manner that the listener may know they're not the only one sharing this experience, in high wishes, hoping for a cultural transformation.”


To his listeners new and old, Kano Damaino says: “CMTMG is a unified body of mind frames that inspire to educate and encourage the necessary qualities for work ethics, healthy mental spaces, and community development which provides a healthy environment. I love listening to music that can take me away from the everyday struggles I experience on a day-to-day basis, so I make music as a means of therapy to be able to inspire and encourage not only myself, but the listener, as well.”
