Over the last 5 years German Brigante has risen through the underground techno and house fraternity to become a genuine headline booking. The Spaniard (he is only German by name) is known for a impressive back catalogue of tough and moody productions which always display an air of suspense about them. Proof of Brigante's rising popularity was most evident in 2103 with a series of releases leading him into RA’s most charted artists list that year through a very respectable placing at #57 (and support form a host of big name selectors). Recent releases have seen Brigante signed to a who’s who of labels including Get Physical, Saved, Form, 100%Pure, MBF and many more, and of course, many more charting positions from the world’s biggest names. Currently in the studio working on his new album to be released on Get Physical, the talented producer has taken the time to mix our next Balance Selections podcast. And what a ride it is: Deep and engaging, but never losing sight of the dance floor. With tracks from labels like Kompakt, Noir, Visionquest and more, there will be something for everyone here.

As we get closer to our sister label PUZL Records 1 Year Anniversary celebration we couldn’t resist tapping one of their esteemed guests, Daniel Steinberg, to be apart of our mix series this week. A few years back our own MR PUZL came across the Steinberg’s Arms & Legs outfit and since then has championed their sound in his mixes, reviews and sets. Their unique blend of funk, jazz, hip-hop, soul and house coupled with their passion and longstanding presence in the scene has made them staple in DJ sets and radio shows worldwide. Steinberg’s recent collaboration with Oliver Dollar is yet another reflection of the producer’s esteemed career and ability to stay in sync with the constantly evolving landscape of our industry. 

While Daniel Steinberg may not be a household name here in the states (and in the deeply saturated market of Los Angeles even the world’s best and brightest can seemingly go unnoticed) he is certainly an artist we recommend you become familiar with. Throughout their long friendship with their insatiable passion for music, Kaan Tan and Ricardo Quao brought to life the Duo Kantarik, based in Zurich Switzerland.

Kantarik are well known for their energetic driving sets, with a distinctive style of music. Their power and joy which they have on stage when doing what they love is contagious. Because of their authenticity, the duo gained a big reputation in the underground scene of Zurich within no time.

In 2015, the guys became residents at one of the best known and most highly respected party labels of Switzerland, Terrazzza (Swiss Nightlife Award 2015). This enabled the duo to play at Zürich’s longest running Club Supermarket. A club which stands for electronic music in Switzerland and shaped Zürich’s nightlife scene for the past 18 years. This is the place where thousands of fascinated ravers have already had the chance to experience the incomparable sets of these two young men.

The tireless effort they put in to realizing their dream to become well-known djs gave them the opportunity to play alongside big names of the business at national and international gigs. Marco Carola, Solomun, Luciano, The Martinez Brothers, Andrea Oliva, wAFF, Leon, Joey Daniel, Mathias Tanzmann, Sabb, Oxia, Seb Zito, Enzo Siragusa and Hito are just some of them.
