Kantica is an italian Symphonic Metal band, raised from the ashes of the previous band Keeper of Time.
The project was born around 2014, from the idea of Matteo ‘Vevo’ Venzano, who searched for musicians to play start a band which could bind Heavy/Power Metal sounds to the orchestral parts of the classical music. 
Mixed with the classic power of Metal, the symphonic style become evident in the orchestral arrangements, creating a mix of majesty and melody.
The goal of the new line up is to create and spread its new kind of music, born from the fusion of the different experiences of the old and new members, creating a list of their own songs.
In the years to follow many line-up were changed, to arrive, in 2017, to a stable line-up, 
with that made possible the recording of the first LP, which will be out in the new year.
After the album’s recording, the drummer Daniele Barbarossa leave the band, and he is immediately replaced by the young and talented Titti.

Kantica’s main influences are the big names of the worldwide Symphonic e Power, come Epica, Nightwish, Rhapsody, Avantasia, and “overseas” banda like Versailles and Matenrou Opera.



I Kantica sono una symphonic metal band italiana, sorta dalle ceneri dei Keeper of Time. 
Il progetto è nato nel 2014, dalle idee di Matteo ‘Vevo’ Venzano, che ha iniziato la ricerca di musicisti per creare una band che potesse unire le sonorità dell’Heavy Metal/Power Metal e le orchestrazioni della musica classica.
Unito alla potenza del metal, lo stile sinfonico si fa evidente negli arrangiamenti orchestrali generando un unione di maestosità e melodia. 
L'obiettivo della band è infatti portare alle orecchie del pubblico le influenze provenienti dai più svariati generi musicali, esotici e non, e sviluppati negli anni dai propri membri, grazie alla composizione di soli pezzi propri.
Negli anni si sono susseguite svariate line-up che hanno portato, nel 2017, ad avere una formazione stabile, che ha permesso la registrazione del primo LP, che uscirà entro i primi mesi dell’anno nuovo.
Dopo la registrazione dell’album, il batterista Daniele Barbarossa lascia la band, e subito viene sostuito dalla giovane e talentuosa Titti.
