'Shanti,' the first song from the upcoming sophomore EP by LOGAN, Argentinian Progressive metal solo-project (and hopefully future live band).
Influences are Monuments, Tesseract, Fellsilent and Bleeding Skies.

'Shanti' came to be from a series of riffs I wrote almost two years ago, which along with an intro and acoustic outro, were arrenged for the past few months to finally form a song. The sample is from The Wachowski's 2012 film 'Cloud Atlas', and the title is based on Shanti Devi.

This is a series of two songs, the other being 'Anamnesis' (coming in the next few weeks) that will be part of my next, currently untitled, concept EP.

Writing, drums programming and mastering were done by myself

Guitars are POD Farm 2
Drums are Superior Drummer 2
Bass is Spectrasonics Trilogy
Mixed in Cubase and mastered in Adobe Audition 3

Also unrelated note if you care, but Monuments seems to be doing an album based on Cloud Atlas, or at least the Samsara cycle, announced 4 days ago.
I came with the idea of using the sample and concept/title almost 2 months ago. Just a weird coincidence.
