CSQ: Tell us a bit about your local techno scene. How has it shaped you as an artist?

MNCH: The local scene has played a crucial role in shaping me as an artist, providing an invaluable platform for growth and inspiration. After relocating to Germany, I found myself immersed in a whole new environment, offering fresh perspectives and opportunities for artistic development. The change in scenery brought with it a renewed sense of inspiration and excitement as I encountered a different cultural atmosphere. This dynamic music scene in Germany gave me a new opportunity to explore and express myself creatively. This fresh start allowed me to reinvent myself as an artist, pushing me to evolve my style and adapt to new audiences and trends. Embracing this new chapter has been challenging and rewarding, ultimately shaping me into the artist I am today.

CSQ: Would you like to share anything with the listeners about the set?

MNCH: I'm glad to share that this set is a unique hybrid mix, blending some of my favourite tracks along with an exclusive unreleased track of my own. It's a unique opportunity for the listeners to experience diverse sounds, including a peep into my latest work. I can't wait for everyone to hear it and hope it adds an extra layer of excitement to the set.

CSQ: How does the set reflect the development of your style and your DJing since you started?

MNCH: It reflects the evolution and growth of my style and DJing journey since I first started. It incorporates elements from various genres and influences that I've explored, showcasing how my tastes and skills have developed over time. It also includes a personal touch, demonstrating how I've honed my production abilities alongside my DJing prowess. Overall, the set serves as a snapshot of where I am in my artistic journey while also hinting at the exciting directions I'm headed in the future.

SQCOS, a Stuttgart-based producer hailing from Germany, has been entrenched in the electronic music scene since 1996. With a versatile repertoire spanning techno, drum and bass, and electronic genres, he seamlessly navigates between vinyl and digital mediums. Notably, he holds a residency at Subland Club in Berlin. His early immersion in music led him to master the drums, contributing his skills to various bands. However, it was the burgeoning electronic music scene of the late '90s that truly ignited his passion. Embracing the electrifying energy of rave culture, SQCOS gravitated towards breakbeats and techno, carving his niche in the vibrant landscape.

The “Prozac” project was born from the mind of Alessio Centore in 2019. He immediately approached hard techno and modular techno artists like Dyen, Rorganic, Gus & Jorg, Lewis Fautzi and Oscar Mulero, but also the underground and dark ambient electronic scene with a preference for artists like Ramleh, Lustmord or Rapoon from which comes the passion for the ethereal, distorted and dark sounds. In 2022 he started a label with the artist Michael Katana named Maestri Ascesi. His tracks are based on the continuous research of movement, based on noise, ethereal melodies, industrial texture; taking elements from the dark ambient and industrial music scene of Northern Europe. Prozac has released numerous singles and EPs under the labels Das Kollektive, Insane Industries, Underground Records, Svaiz Record, Techno Wereld, Kursed System, Merciless, Crusade, Chained Vision, Dirol, Maestri Ascesi. And a large number of podcasts under the label: Khaotik Label, Das Kollektive, Exit7 Records, Dirol, AscensionCast, Contrast, TechnoMind and Shifted Radio.
