About the Ep:

Chrom Recordings starts the new year 2018 with a bang: with great anticipation Pedro Mercado finally drops his own EP on Chrom Records! Together with his loyal studio partner Karada, the vocals of Mz Sunday Luv and remixes from DkA & Renato ! This EP is more or less a Berlin affair, inspired by the gigs & parties Pedro Mercado & Karada recently did in The Capital Of Techno.

So finally it's time for the first Chrom release from our own A&R Manager Pedro Mercado! Next to finding & selecting fantastic artists & tracks for our label, Pedro Mercado is of course a known artist himself. Mostly together with Karada, he already released & remixed on important international labels such as Parquet, Kling Klong, Proton, Deeperfect, Gold, Natura Viva, Smiley Fingers, Dear Deer, Beatfreak, Manual, One Of A Kind,... and reached several times the Beatport Top 100.

For his first release on Chrom Pedro Mercado teams up with his loyal studio partner Karada, ànd for the first time with Mz Sunday Luv, who delivers the great vocals which tell an emotional story of a young beautiful woman in the Amsterdam Red Light District. The track is called "Young Queen Trapped In Glass" and is deep & melodic with a subtle feeling of melancholy but at the same time very powerfull aimed for the dancefloor which makes it a perfect club track!

The emotive vocals from Mz Sunday Luv are the icing on the cake. Sunday is a well-known vocalist, born in Canada with greek heritage and currently residing in Berlin. She has a vast list of tour dates world wide on her resumé and a discography of over 250 releases in the past 10 years, of which many hitting the best selling charts on a regular base, on labels such as Rebellion, Rebirth, Get Physical, Watergate, Bar25, Dear Deer, Assymetric, ...

For this special release we also attracted some big names for the remixes: DkA & Renato!

DkA, based in Bruxelles, is one of the biggest producers in Belgium at the moment with releases & remixes on high profile labels such as Mobilee, Hot Creations, Voltage, Amselcom & Get Physical. For several years now DkA is traveling all over Europe, and especially Berlin, in order to perform in clubs like Watergate, Katerblau, Sisyphos, Ritter Butzke & Prince Charles. DkA turns the original into a freaky compelling 10 minutes trip in his typical deep tech house style like only he can do.

Second remixer is Renato Rodriguez, Berlin based DJ & producer, originally from South Africa, but with Portuguese roots. Renato has been showcasing recently a steady output of quality releases on Moodmusic, Audiomatique, Manual, 90watts & Chocolat Records, the Berlin label he's running together with Miguel Tavares. As a Dj Renato regularly plays in Berlin clubs like Tresor, Chalet, Maze, Kosmonaut,... Renato slows down the BPM of the original and makes it really deep which brings even more emotion in the track. But the strong kick, bass & hihats make sure the power of the original is still there.

Karada Geert Thirry known for his work under the alias ' Karada' did several releases on labels like Kyr records Holland (remember the vinyl " il Futuro" and "Walking on the Moon" ) there he did also the " red vision" remix for the well known Producer/DJ Genix . 
All the productions where also placed on several compilation cd's The debut of karada was actually on the Uk Label Lost Language where the track Last Flight was played by top DJs all over the world and where it even reached the BBC radio 1 dance charts . the track was remixed by the well known Markus Shulz ( Global DJ Broadcast Miami, Coldharbour recordings ) and Robert Nickson (Armada).
