The Camaramti Experience

Liquid Frequency presents Yantra, the final part of the Nature-Being-Machine EP Trilogy. We explored the forests and the psyche with the previous releases and now delve into the mechanical & mnemonic. Starting from the where the organic and cerebral themes of Aranya and Aatman left us we now hear the creators of technology hammering together musical contraptions in the spirit of creation. These mechanised worlds were created by Yark Mandala (India), Saurone (Poland), Vaeya (India), AFM (India) & S.O.N.R (India).

Inspired by the burgeoning Psy-Trance scene of Cape Town, Nano Records was born in 2000 as an international voice for South African producers.  Over the years Nano Records has expanded into one of the top Psy-Trance labels on the international scene and is now home to artists from around the world.  A global label with deep roots in Africa.

A lot has changed and developed over these last 16 years.  Not only does the SA Psy scene now have a wide range of world renowned DJs & Producers, but also has massively successful Decor Artists, Visionary Artists & Festival gatherings.  The scene in South Africa continues to grow and morph, at times influenced by the international Psy scene, at other times dancing to the beat of its own drum.

In celebration of this we have collected a taste of music and art from some (and this really is only 'some' - as there are many more flavours) of South Africa's top Psy-Trance producers and Visionary Artists.  So prepare yourself for a strong dose of South African Psychedelics!

As an appetiser for his Budapest visit at Psychotria Label Night on Friday evening our focus will be on DOHM.

Dohm is Domas G. born in 1985 in Lithuania. Project Dohm was initiated in the summer of 2006, when his life was enlightened by experiencing psychedelic music at a first electronic music festivals. Influenced by the lush nature of his country, Dohm’s music is a mystical journey through an enchanted forest with deep, atmospheric sounds. This journey is produced through various styles – including DarkPsy, forest psy and chill-out.
