urwaxx label opens new chapter with his first vinyl print delivered by DJ Karawai.
Based in Saint-Petersburg, Karawai is one of the first producers who starts to create a new Ghettotech sound which is on the huge rise on scene. Always trying to find sweet spot on the crossroads of styles, in this new EP he goes back to the classic Goa Trance theme to make a unique sound symbiosis.

GoaTekk is a mind blowing blend of sharp breakbeat rhythms and flying Goa Trance feeling with a huge blow of Acid influence. On this 5 dancefloor killer tracks plate you will find the diverse palette of mutating genres. The opener ‘deleting_your_data313’ is a tribute to Techstep domination times: gated Reese bass with evolving trance pads goes together on the basement of classic break. Next comes the ‘digital_trance’ stomper – rolling 101 baseline, huge 4×4 kick served with 303 acidline and vocal stabs in breaks. The second side starter – minimalistic ‘primal_code’ utilizes fast 808 drum pattern alongside with ripping roaring acid lead which conquer all frequency spectrum. B2 ‘hyperplane’ is a heavy mid tempo Electro tune with long tailed pitfall and flangy 101 bass. The closing one, ‘poison_bit’ creates a dreamy soundscape where fast 160pbm Juke drum pattern interflow with gated Goa pads and melancholic 101 arpeggios.

'PLASMA' (Плазма) is a 1997 trance track by producer Eduard Gubin (aka Cosmonaut, aka Radiotrance). "He was one of the first electronic music artists who has been successfully pulling in big crowds all over Russia and Eastern Europe. For over two decades his mission has been to transport the masses to a vivid alternate realm of progressive house, techno, breaks and trance" (RA).

DJ Karawai is a producer and DJ from Berlin, as well as one of the heads of urwaxx label, ghetto propagandist and opponent of genre restrictions. The roots of his tastes lay deeply in dubstep/UK sounds, with a significant influence from the Chicago Juke scene. Karawai plays around and blends genres in his material, making new exciting decisions on the edge of Memphis, Acid, Electro and Trance. Currently, he's been moulding a new wave of GhettoPsyTrance for which he mixes all kinds of fast Psy basslines with Juke support overhead. 150+bpm and never slower.
