Kareem is a first generation Egyptian/American born and raised in Elmhurst, Queens. Growing up he fell in love with hiphop and picked up freestyling and battle rapping as a way to escape the anxt of religious and cultural assimilation. He felt flowing allowed him a freedom of acceptance that he couldn’t find between school and home. He writes as a means of processing life’s anxieties constructively. He is passionate about sharing his music with the hope that the lyrical expression of his lessons can empower folks on their Journey of spiritual growth. Kareem works full time as a consultant to the federal government in DC and is a cofounder of a nonprofit called crossing party lines, in a time when Americans are becoming more divided, his organization focuses on the mission of building tolerance and community among American with dissimilar belief systems. Kareem doesn’t have any songs published yet but just created an Instagram page (last week!) to share his music.
