Follow the Path is a 21-track, double album that expands upon and delves further into the musical genres that inspire and influence The Shaolin Afronauts - rhythmic and pulsating Fela Kuti’esqu afrobeat, and the avant-garde/spiritual jazz inspired by artists such as Sun Ra and Mulatu Astatke.

One superb example of how this band execute their musical vocabulary is the track Ojo Abameta, a percussive and frenetic number, built on a bed of amazing percussion and topped off with some deeply sweet ensemble horns, the end result is reminiscent of African hi life sounds which acts as a curtain raiser for this incredible album. The album’s title track Follow the Path uses afrobeat as a template, but with strong funk undercurrents, as the insistent beat underpins the beautiful ensemble horns and bubbling analogue synth sounds to dramatic and hypnotic effect.

In contrast, the second half of the album emphasises the group’s more experimental and introspective side. The three-part suite, Outside Beyond/Three Ways Back, is a genuine musical journey that takes the listener through many musical moods and textures. This is deep, spiritually rooted music that locates the band almost in a genre of their very own - having such an original and individual approach and sound.

"Ilik Ya Baalbeck" is the opening act for the Baalbeck Festival's 2015 edition. It is a grand show dedicated precisely to Baalbeck! By calling upon writers, musicians and Lebanese artists that carry out highly the name of Lebanon to the world, by asking them to write, each on his own way, a brief composition a creation that is a tribute to Baalbeck and in the end by uniting them all at the Acropolis, within an exceptional evening where their works will be interpreted by the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra and a selection of local artists. Designed & directed by Nabil El Azan. Original texts: Adonis, Etel Adnan, Talal Haydar, Issa Makhlouf, Wajdi Mouawad, Salah Stetie, Nadia Tueni. Musical works : Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Marcel Khalife, Bechara El-Khoury, Naji Hakim, Ibrahim Maalouf, ZadMoultaka, Ghadi Rahbani, Gabriel Yared. Interpretation: The Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Harout Fazlian, Fadia Tomb El-Hage (Vocals & Texts) and Rafic Ali Ahmad (Texts). The band’s first album is titled “La Bombe”, also a title for the shows performed at Metro Al Madina which have received great feedback for over two years. This album’s most noticeable trait is the political and social satire present in almost every song. The album’s tracks address many aspects such as religious extremism, cultural, artistic and political disorder, and most importantly, hysteria within an entire nation. The music arrangements were done differently in this album, including instruments such as the violin, the Cello, the accordion and the tuba. The band began recording “La Bombe” in December 2015, after they got a grant from AFAC. Recording and mixing were done at One Hertz Studios under the supervision of sound engineer Jawad Chaaban. In 2015, the band performed in Jordan and proceeded to go on tour around Europe as part of the Beirut and Beyond Music Festival in 2017. All production was handled by Metro Al Madina.

یحمل الألبوم الأول للفرقة اسم "لا بومب"، وھو اسم سلسلة العروض التي أقامتھا الفرقة في العام 2014 في مترو المدینة، ولاقت إقبالاً واسعاً دفع إلى تمدیدھا بشكل مستمر على مدى عامین.
الحاضر الأكبر في "لابومب" ھي الأغاني السیاسیة والاجتماعیة التي تنتقد الواقع العربي القائم، بین الاستبداد السیاسي والتشدّد الدیني، وحالة الھستیریا التي تعیشھا بلدان المنطقة، والھذیان السیاسي والفنّي والثقافي.
وقد نفذت ھذه القطع في الألبوم بتوزیعات جدیدة، ودخلت علیھا آلات مختلفة مثل الكمانجات والتشیللو والأكوردیون والتوبا.

بدأ تسجیل الألبوم في كانون الأول/دیسمبر 2015 ، بعد حصول الفرقة على منحة من مؤسسة "آفاق"، وتمّ التسجیل والتولیف في استودیو "وان ھرتز" باشراف مھندس الصوت جواد شعبان. لعبت الفرقة البومھا الجدید في الأردن في آب 2015 وثمّ في سنة 2017 ، قامت الفرقة بجولة حول أوروبا بالاشتراك مع مھرجان BBIMF تولى مترو المدینة عملیات انتاج الألبوم والمساھمة في تمویل نفقات إضافیة لحسن انتاج العمل.
