I'm Karin Schranz, formerly Karin Wraley Barbee.  I'm a writer and self-taught artist and musician. In 2023 I started playing with garage band and Logic Pro. The results of those efforts are a series of lps and eps, some of which are posted here. 
My music interested vary. I grew up listening to my dad's folk and classic rock, Dylan, Rolling Stones, Queen. But since then, my interest in music has expanded to include in no particular order Melanie, Pixies, Pogues, Fugazi, Black Flag, Misfits, Cure, Cult, Sugar Cubes, PJ Harvey, Afghan Whigs, Beat Happening, Velvet Underground, Laurie Anderson, Unrest, Flaming Lips, Will Oldham, Nick Cave, Jesus and Mary Chain, Portishead, Nina Simone, Peaches, Ride, Santigold, Spacemen 3, Silver Jews, Aki Tsuyuko, Hans Otte, Alice Coltrane, Ibeyi, M83, Sebadoh, and just so many more. I'm pulling from a long list here. 
My music is composed instinctually and without formal training. I took piano as a kid but retain very little of that instruction. 
I would describe this particular record as classical inspired experimental electronic music.
