This song is inspired by the story of a young girl who had the courage to get help for herself when the adults in her life would not.  Because of her actions, other young people now have a place to go when facing similar trials.  While the girl is real, her story is universal.  It's about facing a terrible event and coming out whole on the other side.

This piece was commissioned earlier this year by the Children's Assessment Center in Kent County.  The CAC serves children who've been sexually assaulted by providing a one stop for physical, emotional and legal support.
