BEIRUT - CAIRO - ISTANBUL: Combining some of the most innovative players from Beirut, Cairo and Istanbul, Karkhana met in Beirut for the first time in February 2014. They recorded both live and in studio for Italian vinyl label Sagittarius A-Star. They recently meet in Beirut again, albeit with a variation on their last line up, to share their blend of free jazz and psychedelic with various shades and traces of shaabi, tarab, sufi and much more.
