Carrying well over seventeen years of love for techno and performing experience with him, Invite is one of Holland’s few true household names. A modest perfectionist at heart, he translates his passion and drive into outspoken and highly versatile DJ-sets. Whether it’s opening deep and warm,closing rough and edgy, a small crowd or large setting Invite treats every gig with the same amount of diligence and respect. When given carte blanche and an extended timeslot, something he much prefers, Invite is able to move a crowd like few others can.

His career has seen him perform at numerous events including  Awakenings, Time Warp, festivals such as Awakefest, Free Your Mind and venues like Trouw, Paradiso and Doornroosje, on multiple occasions alongside the likes of Surgeon, Dave Clarke, Ben Sims and Jeff Mills. Invite’s reach doesn’t stop at the border however; he has played in Germany, South-Korea, Russia, Croatia, Slovenia, Scotland, Czech Republic, Austria, Estonia, England, France and Belgium and is looking forward to a lot more traveling.

Early 2011 has also marked the launch of his own podcast series, dubbed Invite’s Choice. Aiming to provide international techno artists with a sixty-minute platform to think 100% out of the box and record a set without any musical limitations, it’s quickly become one of the best weekly podcasts out there.

He's gone on to release on Tommy Four Seven's '47' label whilst maintaining a regular release schedule on his own self-titled vinyl imprint. One of our hotly tipped stars for the future. Closing set I played at a bunker near Amsterdam. I played from 6:15 till about 9:30 in the morning, well into zombie hour and there were still some bobbleheads in front of me for the closer. 
Absolutely brilliant vibe and the gear was dancing on the booth from the bass. Something you almost can't find anymore with all the ridiculous sound limits nowadays. Epic; can't wait for the next one.

Forgot to press record right away as I had some last minute equipment failures to battle with, but there's still a good 3 hours of booming techno left to rattle your neighbours cages.

Su potente personalidad y marcado carisma -como DJ y productor- se sustenta sobre una madurez estilística, una serenidad profesional y un fundamentado criterio artístico -siempre en constante e inquieta progresión- a través de los cuales se identifica todo lo que pincha y produce. Su sonido es industrial, analógico y maquinal. Se debate la distopía y el club. Detroit, Berlín y Birmingham. Parte del mismísimo tuétano del techno. Es físico, contundente, modular y emocionante. 

Su sello Newrhythmic lleva más de 15 años apoyando techno de alto octanaje de artistas oriundos y foráneos. A su vez, sus temas han sido publicados por labels de la talla de Fabric, Symbolism , Planet Rhythm, Format , Dynamic Reflection, More Than Less …  y han sido charteados y pinchados por artistas de la mayúscula talla de Ben Klock, Dvs1, Rodhad , Dave Clarke, Ben Sims , Oscar Mulero , Adam Beyer, Surgeon ,Truncate o Go Hiyama. Como DJ ha sabido evolucionar desde su amado y tradicional vinilo hasta el actual formato digital; gracias a ello Jotón enriquece sus sesiones aportándoles un empuje añadido a su innata capacidad de conexión con la pista de baile. En 2015 se produjo un hito en su carrera con la publicación de su primer álbum -'Casting Out Nines'- que cosechó excelentes críticas por parte de publico y prensa especializada. Fue considerado como uno de los mejores trabajos -en largo formato de dicho año- y ello lo colocó en el punto de mira de toda la escena techno global. Lo presentó en 10 países de 3 continentes diferentes. 

En este 2017 vio la luz su segundo gran proyecto, 'R3silient' presentando su lado más puro y analógico; regresando -una vez más- a lo primigenio, a lo seminal, a las raíces del techno. En 2018 saca dos nuevos trabajo , Antioquia en el sello Aleman ODD EVEN y Extreme Mesures en RAW RAW ,  captando de nuevo la antención de la industria.

As the youngest of 5 children, Heiko Laux was always the rebel in the family challenging norms even in his youth. To this day his stimulating approach to elec- tronic music has showcased his ability to flutter between genres with various ali- ases, projects and sounds. Founded in 1994 by Heiko Laux, Kanzleramt was Germany’s premier techno label releasing some of the freshest sounds of that time. 20 years later the label is still continuously testing boundaries in contempo- rary techno, breaching the gaps between techno, trance and minimal.
Since the release of Heiko’s last album on Kanzleramt in 2006 he has explored different sonic landscapes ranging from classic techno sounds to deep techno by releasing on various labels. His work on Truesoul, Figure and Soma all feature collaborations with Amsterdam-based producer Steve Rachmad. Other labels include Rejected, Suol, Tronic and Uturn, which dips into the realm of hypnotic techno. In the past year Heiko has put out two EPs on Josh Wink’s label, Ovum, each one worked as collaboration. The first release with Diego Hostettler was true to his own style as well as to Ovum as the tracks will excite any dance floor. However most recently his EP with Alexander Lukat on Ovum has been the number one seller for Ovum on Beatport since its release in October 2013.
For Heiko Laux inspiration can spring up from any source. Constantly living in the moment, capturing emotions and reactions from the world around him as his pro- ductions illustrate the beauty of exotic lands and galactic landscapes. Once in the moment there is no going back, only moving forward and only creation.
In January 2014 the twentieth anniversary of Kanzleramt was celebrated at Ber- lin’s renowned Berghain and since then Heiko has been requested all around the world, from Los Angles to Sweden to Tokyo, to represent and showcase his la- bels works.
The release of Fernweh will mark a great accomplishment for Heiko Laux as it will be his fifth solo album for Kanzleramt. From starting out in 1994 in the heat of the uprising techno, Heiko has experienced many movements in the music- sphere however he will always play an important role and symbolize of the glob- ally celebrated golden age of techno. With no interest in remaking albums or dwelling on the past, Heiko is constantly moving forward, finding new inspiration. Motivated by his undoubted passion, he will continue to produce music to fill the void in contemporary techno.
