Much gratitude and love for listening. This song is a remix of a song from 5 years ago. I am in a much different place and actually don’t have any more songs about dynamics like the one in this song. (Many of my songs began 5 or more years ago) But all of my songs are still a part of me and my healing journey and shadow work, and was a way of describing the love toward a traumatized individual. Trauma can cause people in pain to project their own pain onto others as well as to project their own need for healing onto another person. Some human beings are beautiful in many ways inside and out, but can also be a dangerous and harmful person, often but not always due to pain inflicted onto them. These suffering souls go from person to person, creating idealistic fantasies about them which turn into fantasies of horror and hate. Ultimately repeating in their mind their own negative dream and trauma state. Because they do not feel good inside, the fantasy becomes their reference point rather than a core stable self… but the wounds and traumas project onto that fantasy canvass, (the mask), turning one’s partner’s into a fantasy and mask as well. They cannot tell oneself from the other with egoic diffusion. A shared delusional mask. One of which for a harmful partner, is an external outlet for trauma and self hatred. If you ever wonder why I am cautious with partnership and closeness this is why. And I am okay with that. I am also so much more healed from being in a relationship that ended 5 years ago that hurt me and made it not okay to have my own life, my own choices and even my own memories and truth reflected back to me safety. My biggest challenge was not trusting myself and my judgment. I am happy now with my cat and really have no need to make any more music about it. 🙃
