Os presento mi quinto set de reggae: Set me Free.
Cada año, desde hace cinco,  trabajo, entre otras cosas, recopilando los temas que más me gustan del momento y de otras épocas e intento crear historias a través de sesiones para intentar trasmitir todas las emociones que yo siento en mi vida a través de este género que tanto me inspira .
Durante estos años , no sólo a través de las numerosas descargas y escuchas de las sesiones, sino sobretodo, a través de vuestro apoyo y calor, he recibido siempre la motivación necesaria para continuar y para seguir haciendo lo que más me gusta después de más de una década .
Por eso, este último set va dedicado a tod@s vosotr@s , amig@s, conocid@s y desconocid@s que grabaís estas sesiones y las poneís en el coche o en vuestro movil para ir al curro, para viajar, para levantaros por las mañanas.... y que sentís muchas de las cosas que yo siento y que me haceís continuar hacia adelante.

Casi un año entero sin escuchar una sesión nueva de Karlixx sólo podía significar que alguna nueva fórmula había caido en sus manos y estaba cocinando algo gordo en su laboratorio.
Y, como siempre, la espera ha valido la pena.
Para ayudarnos a combatir contra el frio y oscuro invierno en el que llevamos sumidos en los últimos siglos, nos presenta The MUSICAL ALCHEMIST, un fuerte brebaje condimentado con su base de raggajungle selecto y unas gotitas de atmósferico neurofunk, con una dosis extra de techstep oscurecido y un ligero toque dulce de dubwize, todo ello aderezado con la inconfundible marca de su peculiar esencia. Su secreto.

Karlixx is a recognised dj/producer from the spanish jungle scene. In 2004, he started to play his first reggae and drum’n’bass sets to audiences. He focused his sets on an innovative mixture of dubwise and neurofunk creating a fresh new style.
Since then he´s continued to delight crowds with sets full of double drops, original mashups and a technique honed through his years of playing and his passion for music.
Over the years Karlixx has released a large number of raggajungle , reggae and electronic sets with thousands of downolads , his famous sets and mixtapes have earned him respect from the music scene. His mixtape “ It’s a Reggae Morning” was selected by industry recognised website ´Reggae. es´webmembers as the best reggae mixtape of the year 2014.
After more than ten years smashing dancefloors in Spain he decided to make the leap into producing music in the studio in a totally self taught way. Releasing his first tunes through the mexican label Low Freq as well as free downloads, and collaborations with friends, artists and new talents.
The essence of his production fuses electronic beats with caribbean influences like dub, dubwise, and dancehall plus hip-hop, with the heavy bass of jungle, tunes range from 140bpm to 175bpm.
Collaborations and fresh vocals feature highly. As he started to collaborate with more renowned and international producers Karlixx and friends created a new label.
In 2016 the spanish reggae and jungle label South Yard was launched , creating a new platform to release their own music.
During this period his gigs have evolved from the darkest sounds to the pure jamacian and caribbean sounds, loads of his own and his friends dubplates and productions have created good vibes on the dancefloor He has been resident for two years at The Bus sessions, Razzmatazz Club and the mighty Canibal Sound System sessions in Sala Apolo, in Barcelona, his hometown. Without any doubt Karlixx is one of the “numbah one” djs in the drum’n’bass and jungle scene in Spain.
His sets are a blast for the ears from the first beat to the last , always loaded with dancing riddims. There is little more to be said about this junglist who has played with the best, and in the best clubs and festivals all around Spain.
