None of these songs are my work! These songs has been made by awesome people from VGM Academy group as their part in the 21DaysOfVGM Music Challenge, where they were supposed to write at least 2 bars of new music every day for 21 days in a row. I only made these playlists for me and for them (and anyone interested, really)to be easier to listen uninterupted.. Enjoy.

Just a track in B Minor. I played a crap-ton of Phoenix (the arcade game) and was inspired to write this, I even tried recreating a sound effect from the game but failed miserably. Oh well. :)

Today I am running with an exclusive premiere of a piece by Snorri Hallgrímsson from an upcoming release by the same title on Moderna. “Chasing the Present” is the title track from the soundtrack for the award-winning documentary by Mark Waters, in which he follows James Sebastiano, “a materially successful young man,” as he battles crippling anxiety. Hallgrímsson’s compositions, produced by Ólafur Arnalds, create an atmosphere that is at once, introspective, personal, and deeply poignant. I’m looking forward to connecting with the soundtrack as a whole, but for now, I’ll leave you with this single teaser.

Chasing the Present

The accordion is an instrument that has been on our ‘to do’ list for quite some time. The instrument can provide you with a very nice 'couleur locale' whenever you need to give a song that French twist. The accordion brings a breath of fresh air and evokes feelings of romance, passion and nostalgia.

As with other Sonokinetic instruments, we focused on getting a 'real' sound instead of a 'perfect' sound, as you can hear from the demo tracks skilfully created by our demo composers. We are very proud of the finished product and believe that it will empower lots of people to make MIDI recorded accordion tracks that sound like they were played under a bridge along the river Seine.

This demo uses all Sonokinetic samples, with the orchestral parts taken care of by 'Da Capo'
