So during the summer, I wrote this song about a friendship that I had lost but gotten back, yet it just wasn't the same. At the time, I felt like we couldn't be there for eachother like friends should because of the past. I decided to call that song Roller Coaster, and I hope you like it. :)

Roller Coaster

i wrote this song back in 2016 (i think) from the perspective of a ghost who escapes the place he's been haunting and has to explain himself to the people he encounters once he's caught. this was kind of an experimental song to see if i could write something outside of my own narrative, but i guess i ended up relating the ghost to myself. i will never learn.

this is a song i wrote as a kind of confession, but there is, as usual in my songs, an element of looking inward. you could say that it's a song about liking a person and wondering if they like you back, and you would be right, but it also describes the feelings i felt and the things i thought during this time of my life, and it's become a kind of placeholder for those memories. i can play this song alone in my bedroom and immediately feel like i'm back in those moments. this song also became a not-necessarily-intentional birthday present, but that's its own story. thanks for dealing with the fact that this is just the mp3 from the youtube video.
