First demo CD idb Studios recorded (but was too lazy to really master) for D'Militant aka Joey Nickerson (RIP). Joey and I went back and forth with ideas for the cover. Only album cover I was given time to properly accomplish and the only artistic collab in existence between Joey and I we picked the track selection and order on this together at the time NO ONE had heard that dub mix of Lilly Allen's Smile it was just a white label and we both agreed that it HAD to be the opener. I was given artistic freedom on everything that followed and far less time graphic wise. I guess its ok to say now, the running joke for this album was "Q:how much did you get paid Chris, for the recording and artwork?"..."A:Minus 30 Vicodin"  - 2 days for recording and had a about a weeks worth of changes on the artwork before we both settled on this. Fun fact: this was the only DEMO recorded at idb studios before we got the mobil unit...every subsequent demo was done live "one take snake" from the D'Militant living room. This one will always mean the most to me because it was the most Joe and I had come together in complete synergy as we explored the genre together, then again with the Artwork. All of the master recordings are gone for good. Best that exists is this MONO version. if anyone wants to separate and give credits on the individual tracks I might be able to help so get at me. Also ANYONE that has the full set of "Art of Drum And Bass: Vol.1" call/email/carrier pigion me. Last I head someone in Binghamton is the only one that still had it and it was on an old Xbox HDD. Bring me the XBOX  I will get the CD off of it. I am appointing myself official D'Miltant archivist the goal is to not make a penny but that my best friend lives on, if only in a wobble from speaker. Take advantage of this free download copy, burn, pass it on, scare your grandparents with the "rhythmical space music" as was one of my favorite descriptions the Ragga we were playing the one party Joey and I were both on the decks at. Energy never really goes away. I miss you so much playboy.

D'Militant - Strictly Vinyl Demo (Un-mastered)

No sappy description for this one. I can only really comment on the artwork and I think the deadline was like 2 hours or something crazy to have it done. I used the same hands in the reflection as I did on "Strictly Vinyl" to give the two some sort of synergy. I think it took me longer to try to clean up the half assed attempt an Upstate Jungle logo rather than any other element on the cover. I think when I asked for a hi rez copy of the logo I got something drawn on lined paper that was scanned at like 72 dpi. As I recall the "head" of Upstate Jungle was still not pleased with how it turned out.
