	Sweden’s psychedelic doom band, Monolord, is set to release their First full length LP “Empress Rising” via Easy Rider Records in April 2014.  The five song album comes in at almost 50 minutes of skull crushing heavy grooves and  heavy guitars that summon the spirits of  Norse gods when played at loud volumes.   Monolord is for more than just doom-metal fanatics—this is an epic record for all fans of guitar driven rock and roll, stoner rock, and heavy riffs.  As a free gift from Monolord and EasyRider Records you can download the title song “Empress Rising” here.  The song is a 12 minute long opus that will leave you wanting more, but you will have to wait until April 1 2014 for the rest of the record that will be making headlines for next year. 
 
	Empress Rising has all of the flavors of an iconic doom record and follows in the footsteps of Sleep Holy Mountain, Pallbearer “Sorrow and Extinction”, Electric Wizard “Witchcult Today” with melodic vocals and harmonies that are super psychedelic and easy to sing along with.

About Monolord- 
	Formed in 2013, this band is made up of Swedish rockers Thomas Jäger, Esben Willems, and Mika Häkki.  Both Jäger and Willems were in the Swedish boogie rock band Marulk and started Monolord as a side project as a way to play some more heavier tunes, they quickly added Häkki (from The Don Darlings, ex Rotten Sound) and realized that they had something very special between the 3 of them.  Monolord became very real very quickly and recording commenced in early 2013.  Thomas Jäger had not sung in a band before this one, but you would never know it by the sound of it.  Having met EasyRider Records head hauncho Daniel Hall over instagram in May of 2013 when the record was ready to listen to, EasyRider was one of the first that it was sent to and picked up the band immediately after hearing the finished album that will come out worldwide on April 1, until then you will have to sit tight with this first offering of pure hellfire of unrestrained heavy doom that has the ability to shatter windows and put people into an induced coma.

With a progressive sound that stems from a nostalgic desire to blend different musical styles as diverse as Joy Division and Blue Cheer, Austin-based power trio The Well redefine heavy rock by merging massive riffs with sophisticated melodies.

The group blossomed when guitarist/vocalist Ian Graham was fired from his previous band. Determined to redirect his musical focus, Graham hooked up with bassist Lisa Alley and the two began picking out riffs in their east-side garage. Rounding out their sound, they stole drummer Jason Sullivan from Graham’s old band in a tale of vengeance and karma. His solid groove and reckless tribal beat gave the three-piece their ideal primal attack. 
 
Due to their psychedelic doom edge, The Well reaps comparisons to Black Sabbath, Sleep, Electric Wizard and Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats. As fans of cult horror films, they embrace the sinister, revel in dark themes and find inspiration in haunting echoes. The dual vocals of Graham and Alley evoke an ancient language that carries a mystic spell. Daunting rhythms and heavy guitars often accentuate their chilling chants. In the spring of 2012 The Well’s first studio experience was to record their debut 7?at the Barbeque Shack with Tia Carrera’s Jason Morales. Limited to 300 copies, Seven was pressed on mixed vinyl with several cover options featuring hand-drawn art that emulated a few of the band’s favourite album covers. Nicknamed the “rip-off” series, the single sold out quickly becoming a favourite among European collectors.
 
By the fall of 2012, The Well were back in the studio again, this time at Ohm Recording Facility with Producer Mark Deutrom (Melvins, Sun O)))) and Engineer Chico Jones to record their debut album. However, an opportunity to record with Converse Rubber Tracks during SXSW 2013 resulted in the epic track ‘Eternal Well’ and sparked the idea of an EP. First Trip was pressed with a handful of songs from the Ohm sessions together with ‘Eternal Well’ just in time for their West Coast Summer Tour. Due to the energy and excitement of their live shows, the vinyl sold out quickly. With each repressing, a different hand-screened cover was printed until all four limited editions sold out. One of their most rabid fans was Riding Easy Records label boss Daniel Hall who recently signed the band.
 
Inspired by early ’70s psych, heavy rock, blues and proto-metal, The Well has created a sound that reflects doom, punk and horror all rolled together into one ghostly rock soundtrack. Their full-length debut Samsara is their strongest collection of songs to date. Produced by Mark Deutrom and released through Riding Easy Records, the masterwork is a stripped down, electric blues fuzzfest and begs to be heard live. After a steady touring schedule that’s seen the band share the stage with international acts such as: Kadavar, Orchid, Fu Manchu, High On Fire, NAAM, Orange Goblin, Pentagram and Dead Meadow guarantees The Well are contenders. 

“Writing dark, ominous music is how I deal with life,” admits Ian. “When we play live it’s like expelling the demons.” At a time when rock music is fading among the masses, The Well injects an intoxicating dose of raw adrenaline into a fatigued genre. Their nostalgic reverence, simple structure and modern expression put them at the forefront of today’s heavy rock.

Karnak was formed in Ciledug, Tangerang, Indonesia in 2009. First implemented by Rizkia Al Ghifari and Rian Wibowo. After the election of the other troops, Karnak embark the voyage in Indonesia extreme metal scene. Influenced by early 1990's bands like Nile, Hate Eternal, Suffocation, Vile, and Immolation. At first, Karnak rely on two malignant tracks called “Fermentasi Jiwa Murni" and "Eksekusi Mati Tuhan". Their first stage in "High Voltage Fest #1" fill up with several local bands like Killharmonic and Opium. Karnak continues to construct oblique tones in order to increase their sharpness and sternness.

After reconstruction in legion department, Karnak look more promising. Consisted of Rizkia Al Ghifari, Fiqih Chrisnaldi, Agung, Rian Wibowo, and Ichal Tofandi. Karnak devise for physical work and entered A Empat Music Studio to record its debut extended play in the middle of 2012. Finally, their first extended play called "Asimilasi Dasagatra" was released by Indonesia-based Brutal Infection Records in December 2012. “Asimilasi Dasagatra” combines traditional middle-eastern atmosphere and definite rapidity which contained 6 tracks wrapped with severe and torture vocals, appealing guitar riffs, menial bass tune, and tightly colossal drum beats. Karnak added one instrumental saurian music covered with heavy ambiance and more dark scenery. The lyrics theme inspired by Ghifar's interest on Moses theology and ancient Israel's tribe cultures, such as North Israel or Kingdom of Yehuda. Shortly notes are included with the songs, explaining the inspiration and source for the lyrics theme. For the last part, Karnak always undertake to be the frontline of contemporary local extreme metal scene.
