Like every end of the year we present our new installment of the Rebirth Essentials collection, including our best releases of the last 12 months plus some unreleased material.

Coming from Rotterdam, Arp Frique’s music is original and made with live instruments. “Shangaan Time” is exotic with a touch of psychedelic weirdness. Raffaele ‘Whodamanny’ Arcella slows it building a cosmic disco groove on a funky bass line.
Taken from his debut album, “City” by ILO is a journey through his musical soundscapes: warm sounds vibrating beats, deep synth tones and old-school house mash-ups.  
“A Mente Delira” is a collaborative project between the italian producer Ayala and post punk Brazilian Vocalist Abrão, perfectly remixed by Musumeci. An hypnotic and psychedelic song that was big last summer, anticipating their debut album in 2024.
The ukranian producer Komilev debuts on Rebirth with the amazing vocal cut “Real Life”, while Kadosh, one of the best names to come out of the Tel Aviv scene, unleashes the strong track  “Love Triangle”.
Corrado Bucci’s homage to the “Yushan Hu” Lake is a track where the peaceful  atmosphere collides with a punchy sound.

The collection include also unreleased material from Shield & Robytek, Yotam Avni & Tuccillo, Marc Gonen, Mata Jones & Mikey V and Morris T.

Can't Feel My Knees

A dark baroque beginning that introduces a mind fuck of an album proves that Justice’s unique talent is to be found where least expected. Take for example “Let There Be Light” and its strident angry electro driven by a jabbing bassline, “D.A.N.C.E”, a pure piece of vicious house sang innocently by a choir of children, “Newjack” a funky parody of the opulent times of the French Touch

A kind of musical opera marked with religious and baroque symbols, where the melodies are ripped to shreds by the beats, where electro teaches rock a lesson and where pop gets a botox injection. Rarely in the history of French house music has a first album lived up so well to expectancies. 

Justice - Dance

Salon Acapulco, the sunshine latin disco kings as GDD blog ideally describes, revives the latin flavor of salsa blended with house and disco music. This past year they have played in festivals such as Hellow Fest, Festival 72810, Neon Fest, as well as touring around the US.
"Aire" is a track that embodies the fascination with glamour and excess set in the heart of what Mexican dandy Mauricio Garces's extravagant night life would be; truly an ace up the sleeve track for the height of any party. 
The Acid Washed version preserves the original intention while adding their acid analogue touch and sharp pop aesthetics.
Record Makers fame Acid Washed was an obvious choice for remixing Aire. The epic nature of the track is accentuated to glorious disco proportions like only the French duo can bring.
