Tokyo based, dark and dirty disco label Blindetonation is back with another fine package that showcases the breadth and depth of its artists. ‘Blindetonation Split 01’ features five tracks of drug chug, slow motion and weird cosmic sounds that join the dots between the global analogue disco movement.

Up first is Gabriel Ferreira, an Argentinian label boss at Ninefont Music who has been making everything from techno to pop to funk for a decade. He has also released on Items & Things and his excellent ‘Slow Sugar’ is a seriously slo-mo track with flabby arps and dehumanised female vocals rumbling along next to siren like synths and soothing sweeps of white noise.

Then comes Club Bizarre, a Metz duo who count Chloé and Daniel Avery as fans of their work to date. Their fantastic ‘Supernova’ is a colourful track full of big dramatic chords, sugary synths that shoot skyward and tin pot percussion that is loose limbed and funky. 

Steve Ekman then gets much grittier with his high pressure, industrial disco chugger ‘Obscuria’ with its desolate horizons and ghoulish vocals. Full of post punk energy, it is a truly forceful proposition.

For his part, Bird of Paradise (aka OOFT! and Eric Duncan backed UK talent Jo Howard) offers the soothing, organic and dreamy delights of ’92 Responder’ with its lush chords, trilling bird sounds and airy atmospherics all working a charm. 

Finally, the talented trio of Ivan Smoka, Christian C and Vinz Vincenzo go for a deep disco track with lilting acid lines rising up and down next to tape delayed chords and cosmic guitar riffs that are fresh, Balearic and beautiful.
This fine package is another winning proposition from Blindetonation and one that brings together plenty of assured talents from around the world.

Bristol based imprint FutureBoogie delivers rock solid nu-disco and house 12"s for already five years now. Their latest release to date by Lauer certainly didn't disappoint and they're now rolling into spring
with a heavyweight one from dastardly duo Ron & Neil Aka Ron Basejam and Neil Diablo, who between them bring years of musical chops and (most importantly) "the funk" to the table.
In its Original Mix, ‘Perdre Son Éclat’ is a breezy yet sturdy slice of atmospheric synth dance, resplendent with swirling riffs and stammering bass. A thunderous Roland CR-78 drum pattern keeps everything in check, and its sultry french vocals flitter between spoken word and harmonious refrains, lacing the track with a superb "new wave" feel.
Here premiered, a remix comes courtesy of Man Power, the musical enigma that traded on his anonymity for a couple of years before coming clean as the English DJ/producer Geoff Kirkwood. Having released on labels like Hivern, Throne Of Blood and Correspondant, Man Power takes "Perdre Son Éclat" into even deeper territories, crafting a moody and spacious version that respectfully stays close to the original mix. This is something we're very excited about, from one of our own. Alongside long-term DJ partner Harri, Domenic Cappello has maintained his weekly Saturday Subculture residency, the flagship night at Glasgow’s Sub Club, since 1994. He has released many records under many guises yet this is his first EP under his own name. 2017 also marks 30 years of Sub Club and it feels fitting for such two landmarks to dovetail as they have. The Intruder EP is 3 brilliant tracks that come from a lifetime spent in music.

It’s been a while since Marcello Giordani last release.
Now the man who powerfully relaunch the Italo sound in 2008 with the acclaimed blog Italo Deviance is back on the scene after 2 years of hard work and research into the deepest and obscure Italo sound.

This 6 tracks LP travel through again into the unique sound of the early 80’s Italo Disco built with spacey analog sounds, some cheesy atmospheres and a touch of primitive Trance chords. Marcello’s taste is very clear and specific when we speak about Electronic Disco and this LP is totally inspired by artists like Farina/Rago, Sangy, Alexander Robotnick, Alessandro Novaga, Doris Norton and also from his experience collecting and playing this shit during the last 20 years.

If you want to give a name to the style of this LP, call it “Organic Italo”.

@InFlagranti 's Codek Records is back with a classy EP from Barcelona based @IvanFabra. 'Space Bass' is his first release of Codek but follows successful releases on labels such as Night Noise and Emerald & Doreen amongst others. His sound can be defined by a fusion of Nu Disco, Italo, Cosmic Disco-Funk and Balearic vibes, applying 80s analog synthesizers, modern technology and pin-sharp production to ′80s bass heavy Italo sounds.

This EP features 2 originals, the title track (which is remixed by Eve and Yuki Tosaya) and 'Rising Pulsar'.
