chopped goapele + sampled my vocals

her first album was nothing but heaters . I would die on that hill to this day.

Something You Like (demo)

I know Goapele first album went over people head. Let me be the one to say : I know her first album hate to see me coming. Her vocals have been providing lots of textures to me. It only ever an ode of sorts. Thank you even. She bowed out of mainstream success and always chose music first.

*IYKYK disclosure : No Surveillance Coming SOON🦐

Session was recorded in the crib in Philly at some obscure hour that makes more sense . This sounds like a raised glass of persecco in a mansion that has gates and a winding staircase. Of course a blunt is my choice ……. 🦐

*this session itself was recorded at The Sound Lab in Long Island, NY

This specific session is close to my heart. This was the first time me and the engineer locked in on what started as a freestyle exercise in Philly, that got carried away by the time I hit the booth. I say this to say : EVERYTHING GOOD TAKES SOME TIME !

Without my moving pieces and team , I would not be able to present the world my first ever single from #NoSurveillance

- love dij <33
