Rock Pasta

Another vocal synth experiment inspired by anime opening themes, this time using Alter/Ego (https://www.plogue.com/products/alterego/) and its free synth Marie Ork. I am not good at using it yet (hence the nigh-incomprehensible vocals), but it was fun to put this together in GarageBand. (GarageBand's auto-drummers are also a great cheat.)

This one was inspired by HSP's work. Especially the track "Plug out". It eventually branched out to become its own thing, but I won't deny the impact on lyrics. 

Also, this song features a virtual singer named "Marie Ork". She usually gravitates around metal stuff, but I managed to convince her to try out vocal trance.

Surprise, I made two of them! This is "you" from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni in the style of "Sayo-nara" from Doki Doki Literature Club. It's, uh, not exactly something you'd just listen to.

This was mostly an exercise in arrangement, like the previous "Spaghetti Spaghetti Literature Club" (https://soundcloud.com/SevenTenEleven/spaghetti-spaghetti-literature-club). Now that I've done two of these, I've been toying with the idea of doing the other eight songs from DDLC's first act. But we'll see.
