Esculpir el sonido, no tanto en aras de construir sino de sustraer para formar. Sustracción de doble vía. Desde dentro del artista hasta expulsarlo como canción; desde la masa de inputs sonoros que sufrimos hasta la conformación de una entidad concreta: Otro.

BE, EP debut del productor en Sweat Taste, es un recorrido de apenas 16 minutos por todas sus obsesiones. Boom Bap alienígena, fraseos ASMR y una disección de las corrientes de vanguardia electrónica desde multitud de prismas. Una pieza al mismo tiempo compacta y al borde de la colisión tras reducir la roca inicial a esta escultura sonora.

Más que canciones, los breves pasajes de BE son “una serie de sensaciones y de escenarios” que, en palabras del productor, “quizá son siempre el mismo, visto desde varios sitios”. Una suerte de “EP Cubista”, una ventana multiperspectiva hacia las tripas de Otro.

“Somehow I feel that the EP has been always designed. It has been in me and I had to sculpt it, as by extraction…Removing the garbage from the rock observing how it looked”. Otro, 2018.

Sculpt the sound not so much in the interests of constructing, but subtract to create new forms. A two-ways subtraction: from the insides of the artist until expel it as song, and from the amalgam of sound inputs that we suffer to build the specific entity: Otro.

BE, EP debut of the producer in Sweat Taste, is a journey of 16 minutes by all his obsessions. Alien Boom Bap, ASMR sequences and a dissection of the many avant-garde electronic music currents from multitud of prisms. A solid art piece, but on the edge of the collision after reducing the initial rock to this final sound sculpture.

More than songs, the short scenes of BE are a series of sensations and landscapes that -in the words of the producer- “are probably all the same, but from different point of views”. The outcome turns into a “cubist-eske” EP; as a multilens window to Otro’s guts.
