Following the release of their much-praised 'The Celestial Ritual' album, Tunnelvisions returns to Atomnation with their first original outing of this year. The project, spearheaded by Raynor de Groot and Emiel van den Dungen, has been effectively joining dots between contemporary tribal rhythms, percussive elements and analog synth work, infused with a hefty dose of dance floor ability.

On this new two tracker, the Dutch duo noticeably extend their repertoire with divergent material. Title track 'Tucan', takes off with percussive rhythms, before shimmering pads and its heartfelt and soaring main synth arrangement urges euphoria. Things intensify rapidly on 'Rain Dance', as a pounding off-beat grid levitates under two sharply resonating synth lines. Highly recommended!

microCastle begins the summer season by welcoming Ivory to the label for his debut EP. Based in Milan, Daniel Tagliaferri aka Ivory is an Italian producer, DJ and guitarist who has enjoyed a rapid ascent through the electronic underground. Long a favourite of Ame, Dixon, John Digweed, Lehar, Nick Warren, Tale Of Us and Trikk, Daniel’s music has found a home on some of the world’s trendiest record labels, most notably Atlant Recordings, Azzur, Bedrock, Chapter 24, Isolate, MoBlack and Kompakt. Now following his critically acclaimed ‘Hyper’ EP, Ivory presents his microCastle debut ‘No Scale Can Resize You’.

Spread across five tracks, the 'No Scale Can Resize You’ collection is a blend of dance floor inspired storyboards and contemporary electronica. Beginning with the pulsating energy and buzzing design of the Tale Of Us championed title selection, to the quirky musicality and cosmic funk of ‘Biscuit’, it's Daniel’s' borderless scope and creative vision which resonates on a high frequency here.

Anchoring the EP’s midway point is the much anticipated ‘Pfauneinsel’. Already a favourite of Lehar, it’s a tough yet hypnotic piece driven by unique rhythmic concepts and a flair for the dramatic. Most solemn perhaps is ‘Romantic Circuits’, whose astral arps and robotic vocals fuel this indie-tech gem, before perfectly segueing into the journey’s closer ‘Biggest Eyes On Earth’. Once again played by Tale Of Us and surrounded by much hype, it’s reflective qualities are both emotive and timeless, rounding out a collection of music which has already made its mark on the world’s most rebellious dance floors. For Daniel it's a unique anthology, one of boundless inspiration and endless possibilities, as he describes.

"Music is always about storytelling, 'No Scale Resize You' is a collection of short stories where there's not words, they give way to melodies, sounds and percussive elements to sing a song full of grace, delicate groove hypnosis and evocative soundscapes. Every sound has been modeled to create a parallel universe, with magical creatures that speak to us through synths and sound design. Drawing this EP was like a flow of consciousness, many different musical influences converged like rivers to create a unique body of water, one that reflects the soul of these musical tales, dark atmospheres, middle-eastern melodies, robotic beats, dreamy pads, wistful strings and analogic arps; where every part is an element of the same wild land discovered during the listening. An epical journey about strength, bravery, magic, mysticism and love. An island made by incantations and charming, fantastic animals, where you can be a dwarf or a titan, it doesn't matter, every hero has his greatness in the constant search to reach his dreams."

Dutch youngster Budakid impressed with his debut release for Exploited a few months back in the form of ‘Adieu X’; a masterful slice of epic breakbeat with brooding undertones. Backed with the glorious piano chillout cut ‘A Porcelain Heart’, it made for a very impressive debut. With releases elsewhere on All Day I Dream, Last Night On Earth and Get Physical, it’s clear that he is in high demand. Now he returns with two new tracks for Exploited, and a hot remix courtesy of Tensnake.
‘No Strings Attached’ is typical of his sound, with a soaring, triumphant string melody at the centre of the track. This flowing motif glides above plucked synth bass phatness and gently rolling house beats, with a lightness of touch in the production that creates a widescreen atmosphere without sounding overblown.
Tensnake’s remix pumps up the beats to more a skipping ‘90s house vibe, the strings chopped and looped over hard-funking bass and chord question-and-answer sequences. There’s a tense, moody feel as the track gradually builds towards a big break where that lead motif is unveiled in a beautifully melancholy fashion. A classic house diva vocal refrain is all that’s needed to top it off as the beat slams back in.
‘Verso 71’ is the second original track on the release, and harks back to the vibe of ‘Adieu X’. Recalling classic breakbeat, its twinkling arpeggios and snarling bass provide a stark contrast, with more sweeping synth lines and chunky kick and snare patterns combining in a powerful unison.

Born in a small but big in talent island called PuertoRico , Carlos "KAS" discovered music thanks to his father , who had a giant collection of rock-n-roll, lounge and electronic music. Thru out the years he studied Plastic Arts and Communications in Sagrado Corazon in Santurce.  After being in such direct contact with the art scene in the island he started getting involved in more underground and music based projects wish eventually opened up doors  in the nightlife industry. After many years and many friends giving support "KAS"'finally made his first release back in 2012. After sharing the decks with many of the best local talents and international DJ's he is gaining the respect and love of the electronic music scene. Now you can catch him as resident DJ at one of the hottest clubs in town " Industry Club/Bar " in Puerto Rico. With this said you have to stay tuned for more info on upcoming gigs and projects.
