Wake Up est un morceau en collaboration avec Bipolar Sunshine. Nous avions pensé ce morceau comme une vague de fraicheur pop teinté d'un groove électronique, où les paroles sombres et révoltés viennent contredire cette joie inscrite dans la mélodie. 

The collaboration with Bipolar Sunshine and Cautious Clay on Wake Up was a blast. We created this track as a fresh wave of pop with a ting of electronic groove, where the raw and rebellious lyrics contradict the happiness inscribed in the melody.

Cautious Clay: The inspiration for "Wake Up" came from being caught up in uninspired situations lacking purpose or vision and needing to reconcile with that.

Feels incredible to be releasing my Debut Album, it's been such a long process and such a long challenge it kind of felt like this day would never come, but it did.

Conceptually the album is about romanticizing a naive world view. That naiveness and ignorance is something to be cherished. There's something really beautiful about the perfect worldview you have as a kid, that the world is harmless, beautiful and good. The more you learn and experience though the more you realise everything isn't perfect. So the less you know the more beautiful it is, it's the things we haven't done, the places we don't know, that have this unquestionable beauty to it. it's this world i'm trying to mirror with my album, the one that stays in your imagination.

Musically i knew i wanted to do a sonic representation of the concept, blending worldly sounds with small bedroom type samples and soundscapes. I really loved the idea of those two polarizing things being the two main factors that would lay the ground for the album.

asbo, born Carl Garsbo, has established himself as a sensation across electronic music with his transformative, emotional sound. Following his second album The Making of a Paracosm, released on ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective and Counter Records, Kasbo made his highly-anticipated return in 2024 with singles, “The Way You Had Me” and “Alive.”
 
Ever a creative mind, for Kasbo, the past years of isolation were quick to transform into an era of curiosity and introspection. Time spent away from tour and at home in Sweden galvanized him to turn to what he knew best – music. He found solace in honing in on his DJing while at home and sharing music with his friends, bonding over nostalgic memories and music that encouraged them to keep it moving, even during this time spent away from the dancefloor. He reveled in the minimal subtlety of euphoric club music, became infatuated with hypnotic trip hop. Months spent away from touring the world transformed into an invaluable period of deep diving into a newfound realm of music. 
  
Kasbo continues to uphold his position as a bright beacon for the genre. Through masterful expertise in sound design, the Swedish producer and songwriter continues to introduce music that connects and stirs on a deeper level with a rare grace and delicacy. Awarded Sweden’s P3 Gold Award for ‘Dance Artist of the Year’ and a recipient of critical acclaim from outlets like Billboard, The FADER, Stereogum, and many more, fans have found and fallen in love with his music thanks to his unique approach. His 2018 debut Places We Don’t Know was nominated a Top 10 Electronic Album of the Year by Run the Trap and kicked off his strong start across streaming platforms, receiving 173M+ combined streams. In 2020, Kasbo followed up with The Making of a Paracosm, which was awarded a top choice for Dancing Astronaut’sTop Electronic Albums of 2020 and went on to garner over 62M+ streams.
