This is my second Album as 'Leafling'. I feel like I evolved alot from the ideas I already portrayed in my first release and took them to the next level. The music itself is more whole and less shallow now. The tracks are shorter and the sounds are just better. There are more mistakes and little things happening in the background. And I also moved away from the standard pattern in most tracks and tried to create more interesting rhythms. The album merges all my musical influences – ranging from ambient, over two step and more experimental stuff, to techno and even acid – into something new and what I feel is pretty unique. I stopped trying to copy my favorite artists and did instead what sounded and felt right to me. The result is a 13 track long story that I feel like is actually worth being told and being listened to.
