The Fool is Blue

The Black Lodge is a party crew, production unit, and record label based out of Los Angeles, California. While the exact number of members are unknown and are most likely intertwined with many aliases and numerous collabs, they over these last years, have a long reach in their local music community, consistently putting on subversive events under the adverse circumstances that face LA, creating a place for their crew to grow.

For this mix we get two members of the crew Kosmik and Force Placement each with their own 30 min mixes here. Both showcase The Black Lodge sound, with numerous unreleased productions interspersed with cuts from friends around the globe and classics from their vaults. Both mixes are unrelenting and crushing examples of their takes on modern electronics.

When you think of the music to have emerged from Seattle, grunge and Sub Pop are probably the first things that come to mind. But Seattle was already home to a vibrant alternative music scene back in the 1970s. One of the most prominent synthesizer acts of the period was the trio Young Scientist. Influenced by the likes of Cluster, Harmonia and Tangerine Dream, they released their music exclusively on cassette. We are delighted to present their superb debut album from 1979, the hypnotic-meditative-cyclical "Results Not Answers" on CD and vinyl for the very first time!

LVRIN je ruski producent i dj, čija se muzika pojavila na izdanjima kao što su Pinkman, Phormix, Juno Records, Arma, Sign Bit Zero, Crimes of the future, Lux rec. Muziku stvara na analognim spravama, i takodje ih koristi za svoje live nastupe. U Januaru mu  izlazi još jedan mini LP za Pinkman.

We kept this spicy trance treat for the end of the year as a Christmas present for all our followers. LVRIN is a Russian producer and DJ whose music has appeared on Pinkman, Phormix, Juno Records, Arma, Sign Bit Zero, Crimes of the Future, Lux rec. He creates music on analogue devices and also uses them for his live performances. Another mini LP comes out in January on Pinkman.
