Gordon Raphael is an American record producer and musician from Seattle, Washington and New York, currently living in Hebden Bridge (UK), after a few years in Berlin. Raphael is most widely known for his work with The Strokes, whom he met while attending an early show at Luna Lounge on Ludlow Street, New York City. He produced their debut EP The Modern Age as well as their first two albums Is This It and Room on Fire. The EP and first album were recorded entirely in his basement studio Transporterraum NYC (co-owned by Jimmy Goodman). He has also produced many songs with Sarah Maguire, Fake Chemical State for ex-Skunk Anansie lead singer Skin, Mexico's top rock band Fobia, and the well-loved album Soviet Kitsch by Regina Spektor.

For this edition of their Outsiders Residency, Daniel Jahn & Isa Schwarzenberg from the Hamburg based label Bureau B bring together the (vocal) output of women from the avant-garde NDW, experimental music and sound culture of the German-speaking world of the 1980s. 

It sheds light on the hidden corners, of the playful use of words and expressions that developed on the creative sidelines and often circulated in the DIY tape culture or in small vinyl editions.

Menqui is a Berlin based dj & digger constantly on the hunt for musical treasures ranging from disco over cosmic, synth pop wave proto house and many other fields. Besides sharing his music from behind the decks he has also been involved in a variety of different projects - f.e. by contributing a remix to Don't DJ's release on Planet Almanac or hosting different party series. Rumors are that there might even be a connection to the infamous, yet mysterious 'Serious Trouble' releases. Go figure!

Amateur Exorcist, also known as Baster Jazzster, comes from Severodvinsk, a port city on the shores of the White Sea, but currently lives in Moscow. Inspired by the horizonless waters that could be seen from his window, Amateur started collecting exotic oriental records and launched his DJ project with a set compiled strictly of afrofunk.

The Bucharest based Aleksa Alaska has been carving out her remarkable style very quickly. Even though she just started to pursue her DJ career in 2016, her extensive output soon attracted attention by renowned online entities like NTS Radio, Intergalactic FM, Rinse France.
If you comb through Aleksa's online presence you quickly realise how dedicated she is to music and other art forms. 
Her mixes are explorations of different moods and degrees across the electronic spectrum.

Saulk started in 2016 vinyl label Mélodies Souterraines, exploring largest electronic compositions from both past & present, as compilations by format. In 2017, Musiques Electroniques Actuelles seen light, focused on unique intemporal musik. The next release will introduce San Francisco art-rock band Zru Vogue. When you come from a place where everything collides in the worst and best
way, confusion comes with a price -it's either a bigger confusion or a huge
relief.
Ece Özel is a DJ from İstanbul who runs her own nights and podcast series as
"Özel Zevkler" where she has supported many local live acts and djs.. She was
one of the residents of İstanbul’s Minimuzikhol until recently and she is one
half of Müstesna Records.
Growing up in Istanbul’s punk scene and then meeting the electronic music
scene surely had some effects on her style. Her intention to create dark but
shiny journey through transitions is what keeps her sound fresh and
unpredictable. Those transitions of electro, disco, leftfield electronics,
new wave and even some forms of techno leads to very intense moments on the
dancefloor, also in her mixes.. She has been playing in her hometown for
almost a decade now and she has noticed by some international platforms like
Dekmantel and Boiler Room. She has played at clubs and festivals like Renate,
Golden Pudel, Boiler Room, Salon Des Amateurs, Sameheads, Kaiku, Garagenoord,
Rive Rouge, FOLD, Dekmantel Festival, Atlas Electronic, Camp Cosmic and many
more..
