Having just released his long-awaited third studio album earlier this autumn, electronic outfit Ishi have now returned to unveil a new remix. Ishi is teaming up with Kraak & Smaak for a remix of Pro's & Con's; adding their distinctive sound; a blend of disco, funk, electronic and house.

Dutch producers, DJ’s and live act Kraak & Smaak have built up a jaw-dropping track record since their first EP dropped in the early 00s: five studio albums, four remix albums and an amazingly long string of singles and remixes (from Jamiroquai to Solomun) on labels such as Jalapeno Records, Exploited, Razor ’n Tape, Future Disco, Toolroom and Spinnin’. Their highly original and distinctive sound, consisting of a blend of disco, funk, electronic and house, has brought their dj sets and the live band to all corners of the world and on festivals such as Glastonbury, SXSW, Exit and Coachella. 

Ishi’s ability to successfully walk the line between an ambitious studio act and a multi-sensory live experience allows him to engage the audience in an uplifting celebration of life. His subtle undertones of inner exploration combine to create a concert experience that is unequivocally one-of-a-kind. Each night, Ishi intends to create an entirely unique environment of mysticism, awareness, love and acceptance. Adored by fans and critics alike, with praise everywhere from Run The Trap to the Dallas Observer, there is no denying that Ishi is an immersive experience that everyone should discover. 

Fans have been waiting eight long years for the new album 'Sweet Gold' which just dropped on Swedish Indie Label Icons Creating Evil Art, the home of Flora Cash, Summer Heart, and Glamour Hammer. It features the hit singles ‘Not My Girl’ and ‘Lo-Fi Love Affair’ and the album's focus track 'Pro's & Con's'. Following the successful release of the Yuksek remix of 'Not My Girl' (supported by the likes of A-Trak, Kiss FM, Ministry of Sound, Amazing Radio etc.) and a remix collaboration with the internationally acclaimed EDM-producer Oliver Nelson, and working with CAPYAC this summer for their  ‘Goody Goody (Capyac's Good Mix)’, Ishi has successfully proven that collaborating and releasing remixes works really well for his music.

Of the EP's six tracks, we've got the premieres of the titular "Hypnotease," a slower-grooved, emo-house tune with Destable's vocals atop that threatens to devolve into sunrise-levels of feels until an acid house beat kicks at three minutes and it becomes a much funkier affair. It's a unique confluence of styles that is only highlighted as the refrain of "You put a spell on me" is re-appropriated in the bossier, club-friendly second half.
