Modeā is quickly becoming a household name amongst his Irish peers. Hailing from Donegal, the young DJ and producer has already established himself as ‘one to watch’ in the scene via releases on Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave and Elysium. And with his new single on Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains imprint, his ascendency looks to rise further.

Rave motifs can be heard on the title track, but this is no 1990’s pastiche, as Modeā serves up a thoroughly modern sound aesthetic with the energy and spirit of hardcore dance for a big room techno epic. ‘On A Level’ similarly serves up a gargantuan club cut, deploying vocal chops and dark, acidic stabs over a hefty drum track.

Irish DJ and producer Modeā aka Cristian McDaid has celebrated a steady string of releases since his debut on We Are The Brave in 2020.

Shine opens with rolling techno percussion and a hard-hitting kick drum before introducing the emotive chords that become the track's defining feature. Its driving energy and uplifting vibe make it a spine-tingling techno track that's perfect for peak time moments on the dance floor.

Magnetic talent Adiel, her native Rome’s Goa Club resident DJ on their famed Ultrabeat vinyl nights and global exponent of techno’s wilder shores, now joins [PIAS] Électronique to share original tracks which spiked her 2024 DJ sets. 
First of the series (January 24th) is ‘Bolingo Malenbè’, her collab single with Guinean singer/percussionist Falle Nioke mingling his afrobeats and vocal with her breaks, tribal and dub-influenced techno.
‘Bolingo Malenbè’ dazzles the ear with Nioke’s rich, resonant vocal showcased by her signature ‘techno with emotion’ which combines strong breaksy beats - encompassing vibes of Falle’s traditional West African percussion - alongside hard, juddering, reverb-heavy techno bass lines and spacey sound FX, with gentler melodic interludes of guitar- and piano-like phrases and chords. 
Warm, organic, tribal, yet dark and gritty techno ready to ignite dancefloors far and wide.
