For those of you who don't know Caribou, go check his music out immediately. He's one of my favourite producers, consistently making beautiful, emotive and intricate music. For those of you who do know him I'm sure you're loving his incredible new album Our Love as much as I am. So many great tracks on there but Can't Do Without You has been totally stuck in my since first hearing it back in June last year. My mix is an ode to the original, taking it into a different space from the original. I wanted to keep the mix fairly gentle, including a lot of the really special original elements, particularly his vocal, while giving it my personal stamp. Whenever I write a new song, I always want to get it out for people to hear immediately. I'm directly inspired by the music that others are making and also by everything else happening around me, so it makes sense that when I write something new, I should let it be heard as quickly as possible… right? A product of its environment.

That's what I did here. I wrote this song over the last week and immediately thought to give it away on Soundcloud, as quickly as possible. 

You've all been really good to me, so I'll keep doing this as often as possible without compromising the quality of the material that I'm giving away. I definitely don't want to just hand you guys "filler" tracks. Anyway, I have a lot of music in the pipeline, so there won't be any shortage of material from me in 2013.

My band did a rendition of the classic house anthem "Another Chance".  It never came out because we could not get clearance.  I did a remix and it was sold there for a moment on Beatport but later it had issues too.  This version "One More Chance" has some added lyrics that changed up the song in order to try and get an official release.  But yet again it still got held up.  So here it is for you to enjoy!
