stare deep in to my soul and what does not lie there
dreams of happiness with my kids, destroyed hope i bear
land of alienation, desolation,incrimination without defense
life is hung up on a dock note  proclaimed as my evidence

the facts of my love i stand there to sign to commit
but lead astray in hopes that my money benefits 
the child i chose to father, i held, i helped born, i helped grow
in one swift word of lies all that goes out the window

they say i am a deadbeat father but where is the proof
give me one minute with my children , i will show you the truth
that my life was born to stop this vicious cycle of tragedy
but sharing my weakness is how all this lead to happen to me

i am told to hold on to a day, one day and never let go
eventually you will see them again and your love will grow
i say that is all bullshit and its to try and stop what we share and feel inside
that the parent who uses and extorts kids has no place to hide.

that's how i truly feel deep down inside, stare in to my soul
this is no free ride.
