Everyone loves a sneaky link…There’s nothing quite like that adrenaline pumping feeling when you’re around someone you maybe shouldn’t be with. Knowing that feeling all too well, Kas sets out to articulate it with his latest record “Show Me” featuring fellow New York native Mike Classic. Together, the two artists paint a delicate picture of lust and deceit. The melodic tone of their vocals resting on top of the soothing production is sure to put you in the mood for any late night desire.

Just a few days after teasing its release on IG Live, KAS has returned with his latest single “On My Own” featuring longtime comrade Erick Lottary. This is the duo’s first collaboration since 2017 when KAS dropped his “Always Something” Ep. The Smwhereat4am-produced track, KAS kicks things off with an exultant hook leading into a vibrant up-tempo verse before passing it off to Erick, whose singsongy opening verse pairs well with KAS’s melodic approach.

 

“On My Own” marks KAS’s first appearance on wax since dropping his latest Ep, No Favors, in November. Meanwhile, Erick Lottary has continued his momentum following the early February release of his single, Pocket Watching featuring North Carolina’s hometown hero Southside Gauxst. As for KAS, the Homeskool rapper appears to be gearing up for a new Ep later this year.

For ‘Soul Ties’ being KAS & JC’s first collaborative attempt, it seems the two have an extraordinary chemistry together out the gate. Songs about being romantically in love are always a good vibe to start the summer off. They’ve captured the essence of traditional Hip Hop and R&B with KAS’ storytelling ability effective but subtle punchlines along with JC’s melodic vocals that feels very familiar but revamped all at the same time. Producers David Adams, Marcus “Churchboi” Askew & Marcus “Writazblok” Henderson bring back that 90s vibe that has created this smash of a record. The Great Escape paints the story of a young man transitioning in life and accepting the sobering responsibilities of fatherhood while pursuing a dream. Kris Kasanova, the author of these stories, pulls from his own life experiences and those around him coming from what he describes as "the bottom of the bottom" which is Red Hook, Brooklyn.  The Great Escape is not about leaving your physical environment but being free mentally to explore your true greatness. Always Something

Brooklyn native KAS drops his first single “This Side,” which is produced by Grammy Nominated producer, Harmony Samuels. It’s the first record off his seven-song EP On My Way that’s releasing from combined labels HomeSkool/BOE Music Group and distributed by Empire. “This Side” was created to get everyone excited about their own neighborhoods and what actually goes down in your environment.

KAS grew up in the projects of Red Hook and learned the art of rap from his stepfather while accompanying him to his studio sessions. By the age of 17, music became an integral part of his life and it was only a matter of time before KAS naturally honed in on the skill of creating great music.

Over the weekend the talented Red Hook Brooklyn artist KAS released another single from his upcoming EP entitled On My Way  and with mhelp from Sonofsonix and Harmony Samuels on production this summer ready single entitled ”Dizzy” ultimately plays as a record for anyone looking to have the vibes boosted as the summer heat continues.
