Hailing from the dramatic backdrop of the Scottish Highlands, CAIN encapsulates his ties to music and the natural world through a lens of organic textures, detailed instrumental arrangements, and dance-inducing drumwork. Following releases on Fine Grains, High Life and Darker Than Wax, the Helios EP marks his welcome debut to the Erbium Records roster; fusing rhythmic elements of 2-step and UK Funky with stringed Middle-Eastern melodies and colourful collages of sound.

Having already dropped a potential ‘tune of the year’ with ‘Did This’, Italian DJ/producer Dino Lenny returns to R&S Records with another exemplary dancefloor cut, ‘Washington Street’.

An authoritative producer over the last three decades, Lenny has been behind memorable releases for the likes of Ellum Audio, Innervisions, Crosstown Rebels and the Fine Human Records labels amongst others. His inclusion of the ‘Did This’ track on the R&S album ‘In Order To Dance 4.0’ was a highlight and one that gained huge support from the likes of Pete Tong, Radio Slave, Anja Schneider, Laurent Garnier, Honey Dijon and many more.

Dino digs deep on ‘Washington Street’, flexing his house music chops on a highly credible club anthem that evokes shades of Chicago house and Italo Disco, delivered with a driving pace and techno sensibility.

“This EP was made after I realised that what inspired me most was to combine my love of electronic music with the music I enjoy outside of the club. I decided to collaborate with friends from a couple of my favourite bands, including Fay Milton (Savages) who provides live drums on Motorik Bush Doof Musik and Taigen Kawabe (Bo Ningen) who performs on I Never Cared That Much For Jungle. For me, having live instrumentation on the EP adds an extra depth to the tracks & has given me a vision of how to I’d like future releases to sound. 

My fave track off the EP, Growing Up With Muscle Cars, is an homage to my step dad who repairs and restores old muscle cars. He also used to take me to the drags in my hometown when I was little. We would push the race cars out onto the track. Some of my favourite memz as a lil kid.”
