Sorry I haven't been here in a long time. I've been working on films and other things, as well as just living. Hope all is well with everyone who still bothers to stop by and say hello, and have a listen.

Consequences

This is a piece I wrote for a cat I used to have, on the day of his death.

Each part reminds me of how his life went, pretty much how all life goes.

The piano initially is the curiosity and wonder of discovering the world.

The violins are akin to what the tension feels like to watch the kitten grow, and learn, fail and try again...but kind of a warning to take it slow, kiddo.

The secondary piano is the kitten becoming the cat and growing into adulthood, and being risky.

The third piano part is its run headlong, blissfully unaware of how short it's life really is.

The cello line is the wish that these little fuzzballs could live a long life, as long as we do, so we could spend more time with each other.
