Treibend und rumpelnd, schlammig und funkelnd - versumpft mit uns krüglich und lauschet dem Sumpfophon. Eine Reise beginnt, die Krüge sprießen, Äuglein schließen, Öhrchen spitzen. Der Sumpf ist unruhig, Schallwellen treiben ihr Unwesen.

Wie fluoreszierende Brotkrumen liegen sie feinsäuberlich in einander gereiht wegweisend im S-umpfeld des Zuckerhauses und führen uns in Versuchung.

Es knuspert von allen Seiten, Zeit sich zu verneigen da kommt Hænsen, dänzend - aus der Zuckergussmainson, sie scheint zu glänzen - zu funkeln wie Biolumineshænsn.

Während die Hexe verhext von der Auswahl der Tracks kompfwippend & nickend neben Gretel am Fenster sitzt, Sonnenbrille an wie in Gangsterclips und vom Set von Hænsen beschwippst, feuchtfröhlich schaukelt, fast schon taumelnd und staunend! Soo darin liegt also der Sinn, das fanden schon die Brüder Grimm!

Knusper knusper Sümpfchen, wer spielt denn da die Trümpfchen?
Geschwind geschwind, es pfeift - Hænsen im Wind!

Schwer zu umschreiben, wir lassen es bleiben - ihr lasst euch treiben <3

Der liebe Valentin beschenkt unsere Live-Special Reihe mit einem Doppelpack. Es handelt sich um die Aufnahme vom diesjährigen Klangpavillion Rügen, die sich keiner entgehen lassen sollte. Es lohnt sich. Let's go mit Part 1. 

Anbei noch seine Stellungnahme zu unseren Fragen, in der er die ein oder andere Anekdote preisgibt...

✘ Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse? Was ist dein
musikalischer Hintergrund?

Ich bin auf dem Land in Süddeutschland in einer musikalischen Familie groß geworden und wie das so ist auf dem Dorf, haben wir natürlich auch illegale Raves veranstaltet. Und dadurch kam ich auch zum Auflegen. In meiner Zeit bei 3000Grad wurde das Ganze dann natürlich vertieft.


✘ Was macht deiner Meinung nach eine gute Afterhour aus?

Eine gute Afterhour ist es für mich dann, wenn ich das Gefühl habe mich safe zu fühlen und ein WIR-Gefühl entsteht oder entstanden ist. Generell finde ich es wichtig dass die Menschen auf Partys aufeinander Acht geben und integrativ agieren und natürlich verspielt! Dann muss der Sound natürlich stimmen, gerne verspielt verspult und dark treibend...und von mir aus nicht über 118bpm <3

✘ Wie hast du den Gig empfunden?

Ich hatte das Glück in diesem Sommer auf der Insel Rügen beim Klangpavillion am Strand spielen zu dürfen. Es war ein traumhaftes Wochenende mit lieben Freund*innen und unseren Camperbussen. Mit Blick auf das Meer, mega leckeren Drinks und Snacks habe ich am ende knapp 7h gespielt. Die ersten 4 Stunden möchte ich gerne mit euch in zwei Parts teilen. Ein bisschen Sommer für die Ohren, während es in den Clubs gerade für mich etwas schneller, darker und treibender vorangeht.

He then gathered his fellow wolves the so called „wolf-gang“ and danced his mean and angry wolf dance. This was a very sad day. For all of us.“

In search for the next exceptional Afterhour Sounds we head to the Swabian metropolis of Stuttgart. There we met picão, a gifted DJ and crew member of https://soundcloud.com/allesamt_imnetz and https://soundcloud.com/beyondcollectiveberlin, who has always been able to convince us with his sets.

His recording basically features exactly what we expected from him. Namely Lush Sound in perfection. And that is by far not exaggerated. Subtle basses meet organic and instrumental sounds, which are repeatedly accompanied by sensual, almost melancholic and uplifting melodies. In addition, again and again passages that seem driving, but without being it. Somehow hypnotic and yet organic at the same time. Hard to describe, but unique how downtempo can be interpreted. 
In our short interview he reveals even more about how his mix was created. "Onda passada" we just say 😊.

- What are your musical influences? What is your musical background? 

I started playing drums at the age of 5 and I think that definitely contributed a lot. My grandpa was a conductor in an orchestra and encouraged me in my drumming.... But then I didn't get stuck with classical music so much as rock, hip hop and jazz. In the further course of my youth I started to collect records and to search for a lot of music of different kinds and origins. I came to electronic music quite late and have to say that until I came across downtempo, I couldn't do much with it. But then all of a sudden it happened to me and I stumbled into it very quickly and intensively. I went partying a lot and searched and discovered a lot, until I wanted to try DJing together with a buddy and shortly after I started hosting my own parties with my first collective in Stuttgart @allesamt_imnetz. And since then always stayed curious and where I am now.
 
- What makes a good afterhour in your opinion? 

I think a good afterhour can be very different.... Personally, I'm a big fan of scraping together the last remnants of my energy after a nice, boisterous and debauched party and just dragging it out a bit and dancing on. But sometimes the energy is not enough and then I just find it nice to spend a few fading hours together with beautiful people and good music and let the party pass in review. But no matter when and how the afterhour happens, I find that this moment of the evening or morning brings a very special energy that becomes like it primarily through the people and music you spend it with.
 
- What thoughts might you share with us about your mix? 

"Ondas passadas"

In late summer I was in my second home country Portugal with a very good friend of mine and for the first time since early 2022 we had time and peace to reflect and share about the events that happened, the moments, the places we visited and the people we had the chance to meet. We talked a lot about what happened and during this time we both searched and collected a lot of music that will definitely find its place in this vacation by the ocean and in this set. 
What I really want to say with all this is that I dedicate this set to rest and reminisce about all these beautiful things and look back on it with a lot of nostalgia and wintry laziness, and with the new year I look forward to many new events.
