Another night conviction is calling
My better mind is begging me to call it

But I'll watch my resolve
Slowly dissolve
From frozen to ocean whenever you call
I swore I was done
But you always love
To prove me wrong

Back, forth, this cycle's never ending
I'm so exhausted always spending
All my time just to stay upright

I'm tired of feeling dizzy

I’m self-employing every self defense maneuver I know
Avoiding Essex street and taking the long way home
I tell my friends I’m finally moving on but even I don’t believe it

Hard to feel unlike a burden
Harder still to feel deserving of attention
Of affection
When I've spent close to eternity and then some
Being taught a constant lesson
Of my detriment to every strand of fate

Battered will so close to breaking
Fragile mind up for the taking
Walking tightrope on the edge is where our threads first intertwine
Amethyst among the masses
Struck against monochromatic manic me

A loyal Labrador who smiles and nods along
I’m getting used to being used
Just let the Stockholm syndrome set and make a pet for you

Fucked up, strung out, god you make me a mess

Which manufactured me is gonna look the best on you
Today, tomorrow who can say
The wind might call for major change
