Isolated Dancer was created during lockdown and the feeling of being very isolated during that time. Life is not about waiting for a storm to pass, its about learning to dance in the rain!

Before You Go is a fond farewell to the dance floor as I remember it. The last festival that I went to was the Solar Eclipse Festival in Queensland, Australia in 2012! Thats nearly a decade ago! and it’s around the same time (add another decade or so!) for when I would have considered myself as a cyber raver! My life was consumed by it. Before You Go is a bit nostalgic of those times, being on the dancefloor. Life was all about music, clubbing, parties, afterparties and everything else. Not much has changed, my life is still consumed with music, my own music, my lifestyle is much more healthier.

In Motion; MOVING, on the move, going, travelling, not at rest, functioning, operational; under way! I create my own artwork and Jellyfish describe’s the sound. Groups of Jellyfish swim at 120BPM, In Motion! In Motion also describes me and how I was feeling during the creative process.

Problems Make You; determined, spirited, dynamic, self-assertive, tough, tenacious, formidable, aggressive, redoubtable, zealous, firm, resolute, strong-minded! The synth also sounds like it says; problems make you, problems make you, problems make you, problems make you, problems make you. This also helped me give it a title! Give it a listen and you will hear it. It was purely coincidental.

I went backpacking in Australia in 2012 for one year. My most memorable place was tropical Queensland. I met other backpackers at Cairns City Backpackers and we rented a camper van and travelled down the East coast of Australia. We began our journey north of Cairns and visited the Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge. We trekked through the Rainforest and climbed Mt Sorrow which is over 3km hike through the rainforest. Jungle celebrates the rainforest! The rainforest recordings featured in Jungle are actually recorded from the Amazon and Africa. But I hope “Jungle” captures your imagination and the overall feel of trekking through a rainforest!

Tundra originally known as Snowflake was originally created during a snowstorm in 2017. I had the opportunity to remake the original in 2020. Snowflake was renamed Tundra to fit with other releases that now feature in my Soundscape playlist on Soundcloud. Tundra is everything I would imagine and feel in the Artic Tundra, and walking through the blizzard in 2017, definitely helped the creative process! Take a walk with me through the Tundra but watch out for those wolves! I hope “Tundra’ captures your imagination and the overall feel of trekking through the Artic Tundra!

I have never been to South America, but I am often inspired by photos from far away places, especially landscape. I came across a preset in my Waldorf Blofeld synthesizer that sounds like the mountains. I researched what the instrument maybe inspired from, and came across the Quena which is the traditional flute of the Andes. The Quena sounds very similar to the preset in my synthesizer, and it sounds amazing. I came up with the melody quite easily with the Quena sound. I then created some nice chords to go with it. I hope “Andes” captures your imagination and the overall feel of trekking in the Andes!
