Here's the debut single for The Voice Australia 2013's IMOGEN BROUGH!

This one is an epic Celtic pop song. We loved working on this song much. We took an older acoustic version of this song already released on iTunes, re-wrote and arranged it and bought it into a pop context. IMogen's voice is so ethereal.. We get taken places when she sings - like somewhere into the Lord Of The Rings trilogy!!!

Pump this one loud and just try NOT to see orchs running down the mountain toward you ;)

An original song, recorded by candlelight one Friday evening two days before we left South Africa to start our new life in Australia, in a lounge room studio belonging to the amazing Alan Judd. Credits and heartfelt thanks to Al for the amazing guitars, recording and mixing/mastering; Eric Savage for guitar and vocals; Melan Blackman for keys and vocals. The team jumped on board to help make this dream a reality with just two day's notice and with just a three-hour session (in which we recorded three songs!!) to make it happen. I'm forever grateful that I got this down before we left African soil, as the song was conceived and bought to life on African soil, and so it only seemed fitting to record it there. 

'Chains are broken' is song for anyone battling with fear...as we all do at one stage or another. Fear about anything - the road ahead, the road behind you, the unknown - whatever it may be. May this song help you call down peace, faith and freedom from your fears and may those chains of fear come crashing down around you as you listen!

Kate Westwood is a Christian Contemporary Singer/Songwriter from Melbourne, Australia. She is launching her debut album, in March 2018.She has been singing since she was 3 and wrote her first song at 13. Kate credits artists Lauren Daigle, Brooke Fraser, Nichole Nordeman, Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic) and Jon Foreman (Switchfoot) as huge influences in her music and writing styles. She has travelled extensively, is a worship leader and public speaker and says singing is the thing she does best in life.
