In an afternoon, I felt defeated. I was in a situation that different feelings and thoughts came to bother me concerning a matter. I realised there was no way for me to get out unless I turn to Christ. 

I turned to Him, confessing my weaknesses to overcome victoriously. I am altogether sinful and sin itself. Only Him and Him alone the source of my life may be. I long to mingle with Thee, Lord.

*In the afternoon prayer, I poured out my whole being to Him for His healing and comfort. I realised that I cannot go on without His much supply and Himself. After the prayer time, I started singing this hymn. Realising that it is still a blessing even if we don't know what He's prepared for our way. He has His way to ease my cares so that I can be at ease and go on and serve Him.

He's our source of prayers and service. If we love Him and want to serve Him, we must firstly receive His serving- His comfort with understanding, His love, and His infusion of His entire being in us.  Lord, I really love You.

*The Lord has been using the environment to let me see how easily I can be drifted away from Him. As I repent before Him, I realise it is needed to ask Him to draw me again and again until I seek nothing else but Him. All things and people apart from Christ only disappoint me and make my heart ache, but this One satisfies me from deep within. My small heart and all its grand desires can only be satisfied by Him. May You grow until I only find satisfaction in You and desire only You.

*There are always things not being easy to let go. It's not merely a matter of not being willing to let go, but even if you choose to let go, the soul isn't capable enough to endure the pain. As a human being, we are not emotionless, we are full of feelings. 

In moments like this, I think of the consecration that I offered to the Lord when I was a young person. I chose to follow Him, but when the situations conflicted my desire, I became a chicken. I wasn't able to follow with boldness as I claimed I would when I was young.  Then a sentence of the hymn came to me. "While Christ is all the world to me, And all my heart is love". While not knowing how to go on, may my heart be filled with love. Even though I might know nothing, be nothing, and see nothing, I would be one who cares for Your interests on the earth.

9th of February 2019. When I was enjoying Philippians chapter 4, these words and tune came to me. Although I've come across these verses many times, I realise it takes lifelong time to learn and experience. May I learn this well in every situation.

We all have times that our prayers seemingly do not get answered. However, I am encouraged that every time I come to Him, I get Him.  Only idols like to show and demonstrate their power. Our God is different. He is the God who hides Himself, and even in the midst of desperate situations, His loving care and presence are still there. I am reminded not to be discouraged but simply keep praying to Him and trusting in Him for His arrangement.
