A reel within the melodic compass of the Highland bagpipes. I set myself a fun little puzzle: to compose a pipe reel that moves from the key of D to the key of A. Most tunes for Highland pipes are in (nominal) A-mixolydian, since that is the easiest mode to play on them. However, other modes are possible.

I cannot play the bagpipes, hence the envy!
