2022 marked my 7th burn - and it was by far my hardest.  It's no secret that the playa was unforgiving.  

Unprecedented bumpy roads, insane white-out early build conditions, and global warming induced heat waves made this years burn pretty SHITTY.  Truly fighting for survival while having the best time of your life (HA).  12 days on playa and my body is broken, my wheels have come off, I’ve lost a bunch of stuff incl my mind…..but regardless my heart was still a buzz ✨✨

Going solo was a new experience.  From driving a box truck while towing an art car, to learning to work with generators in the quest for a cool AC sleep…..going to hell station to pump gas…..it wasn’t at all easy.  I spent the first 3 days crying and purging all the feels from the last few years.  Planning weddings, DJing, hearding a crew of faffing cats with a megaphone…..all part of the experience.  To the lady who thought I worked the VIP line at a certain art car with mega lazers, may my ill-fitted suit and a dated microsoft headset forever be your guiding light to getting up on the bus 🤣

I’m grateful to have this place of self expression and discovery, where each year my community grows….so many friends, so many laughs!  this is why I keep coming back over and over….just like a big family reunion with a bunch of creative FREAKS ☺️.  No limits on what is possible…..and no amount of photos will ever capture the micro-moments of ingenuity, wit or humor.  It is incredible how resourceful and resilient burners are.  and how infectious the feeling of mass participation is 💓

My set at Pink Mammoth was a piece of this moment captured in time, and I hope this recording can get you excited to return to the playa this year, when many of us sit it out!  The fire burns on! xx

What an honor to have been invited with my art to the 10th anniversary of Mezcal Amores. It was a once in a lifetime experience to play alongside so many talented artists in a place that took my breath away with every glance.  When I play, I pray. I internalize my intention to share for the good of ALL and from the heart. Because I want to believe that at the core of our being, in our soul, we all find the beauty we need to make this world a better place. I wish for us to see and potentiate our strengths, lovingly kiss our weaknesses and fertilize each other with our passion. 
Thank you Deborah for this invitation. Thank you Yara and the whole team for the smooth production and the feeling of home and family. 
As always, this set has some tracks that have not yet been released. Among others from my good friend Irorie with his new project Anna Almani or the wonderful human being Hovr. Be on the lookout for these wonderful beings!

Wednesday Night... The strongest dust storm of the week is hitting the playa, it's not easy to reach your destination if you’re out there, chaos and expectation are palpable but the show must go on. The Warrior and the Robot have found each other, the link is done the night is on... It’s been a night to power through... and power through is what Mental did to take us to the first rays of morning light.
