Unfinished Business

Katelyn Vincent is an active composer, educator, and performer based in Phoenix. She is currently directing a collaborative improvisers ensemble through Paradise Community College and Phoenix Conservatory of Music. She has studied many facets of music including classical piano performance, classical vocal performance, jazz studies and performance (primarily) on saxophone, and in May of 2019 she graduated with a M.M. in Music Composition from Arizona State University. During her academic studies she received the Music Department MVP award from Northwest College, the Wendel Diebel Music Performance Award from Colorado State University, a Teaching Excellence award from Arizona State University, and has also received recognition with ASCAP’s Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award as an Honorable Mention for her big band piece “unfinished business”.
